Looking for brands

Being a four month newbie to cigars, I'm looking for suggestions for somthing similar to what has become my go to stick. I've come to love Sancho Panza Double Maduro, now when I open the humidor I start to look around, pickup up, smell, feel, hold, taste, all the wonderfull sticks in the box till I feel like I really need to pick one or the humidity will be gone. So I grab the Sancho Panza again and quickly head to the garage. Other than the little problem this stick has with the cap, I can't seem to pick up anything else. What else is out there that is just as addictive as this little black thing?

Re: Looking for brands

If you like SP Double Maduro then you may also enjoy the Padron x000 series. You might also give the Oliva Series G Maduro a try. All of these have similar flavor profiles. For more $$ and strength Camacho Triple Maddies are awesome!

Try a CAO Brazilia. One of my favorites and welcome to Puff.

Re: Looking for brands

For openers, I would try something that does not make me head for the garage. Seriously, the best way to find similar cigars is to pick ones with the same constituent tobaccos of the ones you like. Once you learn what tobacco types you like, it narrows your search considerably.

Re: Looking for brands

Indian Tabac Super Fuerte Maduro comes to mind - a great stick, and it can be had for a good price if you shop around.

The "if you like this, you will like this", thing doesn't always work. Like Phantom said, get to know the baccy that's in those you enjoy.

You might want to try a RyJ Reserva Maduro, or a LGC Wavell Maduro.

Re: Looking for brands

There really are too many to list, but you may want to try:

Flor de Oliva maduro
Famous Nic 3000
Oliva G or O maduro
Edge maduro
AB Maxx
DPG black

The above list are all very tasty smokes for decent prices. Keep your eye on Joe's Daily Deals for the Don Pepin blacks. When they're on there, you can pick-up 10 robustos for about $35ish, give or take a couple bucks. There's a reason DPG doesn't make too many maduros because the Nic leaf he uses is quite flavorful with a shitload of spices and character.

2nd the Indian Tabac Maduros (Rocky Patel) the regulars are good, and the Super Fuerte's are even better. These are a great cigar to venture into online purchases, check Cigarbid.com
