And I used a hair dryer to soften the glue so the pages wouldn't tare.

Very nice and creative! I love Big Lots and the Dollar Tree. It's amazing what you can find there for dirt cheap that doesn't look it. Great job!

I have often admired those advertisings in CA as well. Nice to see them truly dressed up in frames, red walls, etc... Very nice.

Re: Homemade Cigar Art

I made this for my hobby room.

I got some pictures with a few cigar makers and going to frame the pics in a frame larger than the pic. Then make a border with thier cigar bands.
I went to a B&M who had thier name made out of bands. The "collage" was huge though, maybe 4x5'.

That looks great. I've been saving my bands for awhile I may do this with them as well.

I'm an amateur graphic artist, although I think I do superb work. I'm planning on putting together some larger graphics and having them printed on canvas to hang up in the lounge. Online Canvas Printing | Photo Canvas Prints | SAVE on Canvas Gallery Wraps! they do small & large prints reasonably priced.

Me too. I got my Associates Degree in Graphic Design in 2001. Im a little past the amateur stage, but don't use my trade in my work besides side jobs here and there (not enough $$ in it where I live to do it full time). I had tons of art classes so they help out every now and then. Give me the tools & time and I could blow some minds...

Yeah...... We work in the same art Dept. but he also does the painting thing on the side. He is becoming pretty popular. Green Day's lead singer has been buying his paintings lately, he was invited to their concert in San Diego in August and was treated very well by them. Proud of that Mofo. Even did a Art show with H.R. Giger, the guy who designed/created the Alien creature from the movie ALIENS.
