Sunday Surprise

Am I the only one who wishes CI would drop the Joe's Sunday Surprise? I guess it's an easy way to have one day a week when they don't have to think too much, but I'd much rather have something else. If they feel like they need a theme for Sundays, there are plenty of better ones they could pick. I'm willing to spend, say, $20-25 for a 5-pack of something I haven't tried, just on its reputation, but not for something I don't even know what I'm getting. That's just crazy.

I agree, and I'll add...

I wish they had more 5 packs on Jams. I would buy a lot more than I do if I didn't have to buy 10 at a time. If I haven't tried it yet, I don't want ten of something. If I have tried it and I liked it, I'll just buy a box.

Re: Sunday Surprise

I bought the Sunday surprise 4 weeks in a row then I quit. I was afraid my luck would run out and they'd send me some Acids.

I would agree, I would never go to a B&M and hand them $25 and say, "surprise me".

Re: Sunday Surprise

Just out of curiosity, what's a list of things you've gotten when purchasing the sunday surprise for those who have done it?

Re: Sunday Surprise

I agree. I don't even go to the website on Sunday. I would be curious if their sales on Sundays match a typical day's sales.

Nub, Man-o-war, Padilla Miami and 1932. All good cigars, (although I'm not really sold on the whole Nub "concept"). But like I said, figured my luck couldn't hold forever so I quit buying them.

Re: Sunday Surprise

Maybe when their sales numbers drop off enough they will pull it. I like you will not pay hard to come by money for something I don't know what I'm getting. BTW there is not one cigar listed by Pugsley that I really care for. To me they are not even good yard gars. All they would do is end up in the WTT/WTS section here at Puff.

Different strokes, Dan. While I'll admit the Nubs and Man-o-wars are probably not something I'd buy again, I enjoyed the Padilla Miami and the 1932 would rank solidly on my top 10 list.

I second that...I wish they had 5 pack instead of 10 pack

I've only taken my chances once, but I got a 5 pack of Rocky Patel Vintage '90 Toros. I only ended up smoking one of them... the rest have been/will be given away.

Re: Sunday Surprise

Hit and miss for me. The detectives over there, are pretty good about giving me an idea of what to expect. I am tempted tihs week because its the most expensive SS I have seen however I don't really think I will be biting unless it turns out to be something I really want to try.
