Consensus Time!

Are the Tat Dracs and Boris's worth the time, money, and following the hype? Have you smoked better cigars for less effort and money? If these were not marketed the way they are, do you think you would still buy them with as much passion as you do/have/are going to?

I don't mean to put a damper on anyone's holiday fun, but I'm one to usually consider a lot of things before making a purchase, and I believe there are others here that are in the same boat, specially in this economy!

Thanks!
Isaac

Re: Consensus Time!

Never had the Boris, but I did have a Drac. IMO it's worth it just to be able to try a limited release cigar. Is it that much better than any other Tatuaje? I don't think so. Don't get me wrong, it was a great cigar & I'd recommend it just for the fun of it. I just wouldn't go out of my way to acquire another, especially when there are so many other cigars that are just as good & much easier to get. For example the Havana VI series.

Just my .02 cents. Opinions may vary.

Re: Consensus Time!

Even though I have a Drac and Boris in hand..er...humi, it is only because I live in a large city, with one of the 13 dealers, and two buddies who stood in line. Basically everyone who does not live within driving distance of a store that carried them is SOL unless they want to drop $150+ for a box of sticks they have never tried. Personally, I am a single buyer for things like these.

Re: Consensus Time!

I'm a sucker for limited release cigars. I think I enjoy the chase almost as the actual smoking of these sticks

Re: Consensus Time!

They are good sticks, I would not have got any if i had to wait in line or kill my mom to get some, My thing is this, I love TAT they make plenty great smokes, But most times if someone says hey go pick up these limt. TATs i will if its easy eough to get, Just like the T110s and SW Maddies. But the monster are maddness and it does kind of turn me off, Just make a good cigar and make eough for everyone.

I don't know there are other things to consider, Example hanging with people you like Justin came down and we went hunting these things together thanks to his legwork. No cigar is worth the hype or holding us hostage with real tight limited releases. But if you factor in stuff Like i got to spend a great day with my NOTL then sure it is worth it.

Just my opinion and as far as how good they are sorry I can't tell you for 6-12 months or so.
