I see people ask "whats your faves?" and the 5 Favorite Cigars thread.
I would like to see a list of your 5 LEAST Favorite cigars of all time. No explanations needed; as I don't want to get this into a company/brand bashing session.

Re: 5 Least Favorite Cigars

Man, this one's a lot harder than the 5 faves...I almost feel guilty b/c I don't hate these, they're just at the bottom of my list...that being said, I'm not going to turn my nose up at one if offered, just wouldn't buy it again. I'm going to give short reasons based on personal experience, just for a frame of reference.

5 Vegas "A" (overrated imho)
Joya De Nic Celebracion (always musty to me - weird, I love the others)
La Vieja Habana Corojo (to me, tastes like the backyard)
Arturo Fuente Chateau Series - the green band one(was inundated with these by a buddy when I first started smoking, like an extra light cig to me, no flavor)
Baccarat (another newbie buy, the sweetened cap alone steered me away from flavored cigars completely)

Re: 5 Least Favorite Cigars

Only ones I've had that were absolutely unsmokable was a Cuesta-Ray Centro Fino Sun Grown and one a friend got on the bid site. It was candella, supposedly from tobacco "found" in a warehouse after so many years, and it tasted like straight hay.

Re: 5 Least Favorite Cigars

Hmm... tough to say. But I'll take a crack at it.

Helix
Henry Clay
Baccarat
Cohiba XV - I love Cohiba's but this one was probably the worst cigar I have ever had.
5 Vegas Gold torpedo - another smoke I use to like that isn't that hot anymore, the robusto size is good but the torpedo has a extremely loose draw and it drives me crazy! I need at least a little bit of resistence.

Re: 5 Least Favorite Cigars

I have a couple that I haven't really cared for that most people seem to love.
In no particular order:

1. Most Arturo Fuentes. Haven't had the GOF, Opus, or Hemingway though.
2. DPGs. Just not my profile.
3. Joya de Nicaragua
4. Padron. Tasted like air to me
5. Oliva G. Love the O and V though
6. Padron 1926. Really hated it... I guess thats good for my wallet though

Re: 5 Least Favorite Cigars

I'll take this a little different direction... the 5 I have in my humi's that will never be lit by me (again)... no particular order

1) Monte Media Notche - Corona size - very bad draw, about 15 left in the box...
2) Five Vegas Miami - petite corona and knuckle. Harsh and I love DPG
3) Padilla 1948 Churchill - I love the 32's, 68's and Miami - no flavor
4) H Upmans - On the bottom of the big humi, must be for a reason I assume
5) Five Vegas "A" - might have 1 or 2, gave the rest away to a BOTL who was collecting for the armed forces.

Ironically these are all sticks that I bought when I was new to this hobby and out of control on CBID.

Re: 5 Least Favorite Cigars

I'm going to follow Harley on this one - I've had some really crappy cigars given to me, purchased at a 7/11, etc. But its the times where I bought a 5 pack (or more) of a certain cigar assuming that I'd really like it that I find interesting. So here are the cigars in my humidor that I should just give away (if I can find someone who wants them).

1) Rocky Patel Double Maduro (nearly flavorless)
2) Padilla Hybrid (not a bad flavor, but the wrappers completely explode during the smoke - not worth the trouble)
3) Nub Habano (great construction, totally bland flavor)
4) Gurkha Black Dragon (hated all Gurkha cigars prior to these, not really sure why I thought they'd be different)
5) RP Edge (either wrapper - very harsh cigar, and I hate the marketing of a 'powerhouse' when it's medium strength at best)

Honorable mention:

Alec Bradley Select Cabinet Reserve. I haven't given up on AB yet, but I hated the first two I tried. Bought a dozen with confidence considering my love of Tempus, hope I don't regret it.

Re: 5 Least Favorite Cigars

With apologies to those that my have gifted these to me:

Romeo Y Julieta 1875
Macanudo Cafe Hyde Park
La Aurora Cameroon
CAO Cameroon
Oliva Connecticut Reserve

That last one isn't necessarily horrible, but very disappointing. RP Connecticut is 100% better.

Re: 5 Least Favorite Cigars

I don't really have five non favorites, but have had a few stinker cigars in my short time at this hobby.

Diablo - surely the most tasteless cigar I have ever had.
Graycliffe Proffessional - nice cigar, but certainly no treasure, and not worth what they charge for them.
White Owl - say no more.

Thats it brothers!
