The sad thing is a lot of companies built "smoking" area's that were enclosed and ventilated outside. These areas now come under the ban so they are out the money they spent to build them.

Despite the ban, Monteal is still known as 'Canada's ashtray'
 There is also a '9m ban'; meaning you cannot smoke within 9 meters of the buidling / entrance way. Many public buildings (hospitals & clinics especially)now have a painted blue perimiter around the buiduing. So, you better be on 'that' side of the line to huff & puff..
