How to Organize Singles

Hey guys,

Just want to throw this out there. How do you all organize the singles you get? I was thinking of putting them in a Ziploc bag (left open) and writing the month / year to keep track of them.

Would that be a bad idea to throw them in the humidor like that?

Cheers,
Brad

I would think that ziplocks would eat up alot of precious humi space.

Re: How to Organize Singles

Get a spare roll of labels from the B&M. Put the month and year on labels.
Organize sticks in whatever fashion you like. I just toss them in my humi - got a pile of about 85 singles resting. It's nice having a surprise here and there.

I've just been using blank price stickers and stick them on the back of the band or on the cello.

Re: How to Organize Singles

Whenever I recieve new cigars, I always enter them into a spreadsheet that I made in Microsoft Works a number of years ago. Then when I smoke it, I transfer the info to another "Smoked" spreadsheet and I make notes on how it smoked. There you go brother!!

Re: How to Organize Singles

I just put 'em in an empty cigar box until it gets full, then on to the next one..... And in the cooler they go. For a desktop, I'd just put them in there and let it go at that.

It's kinda fun to look through the boxes from time to time and see what all is in there that you forgot about.

Re: How to Organize Singles

I just use a pen/marker on the back of the stick saying the date I got it and an abreviated size. As far as organizied in my humi? Robustos on one side, the rest on the top tray and the other side of the Robustos. The Robusto is my fave size, so I have more room for that size and is 3-4 deep down one side of my 100+ ct humi. Once I get my Vino shelves/trays built I will have them seperated by size. One drawer for Robustos, Torpedos, etc... Hopefully have dividers made also to keep them inline.

I'm a slacker, all I generally do is put them in a 5 finger bag and put them in my Coolerador.

Re: How to Organize Singles

i have a fifty count humi and a cigar jar. i put the longer sticks in the bottom left of my humi. and the smaller stuff, like my AF petite coronas on the right and fill in from there working longer from the left and shorter to the right. i can remember when i got cigars and who i got/bought them from. i don't know how. i think this has to do with memorizing inmate names when i worked in the prisons, little mental tricks. the cigar jar holds the whats left of the box of VS my dad gave me earlier this year. so thats my chaotic system.....
