Re: Dog Rockets

I've found JR-Alternatives, the few I tried, to be uniformly yukky. If you have a relieable B&M they rarely steer you (too far) wrong, btw.

Made by Perdomo as I recall, I have been tempted to order a 5er or their Genuine Counterfeits several times now, just haven't yet..

I think it is safe to say any cigar the copy says is a "boom leftover" is not safe to smoke. Avoid the Fat Cats on CBId/CI for instance. (unless you are looking for an offensive cigar to send to moochers).

Wouldn't that make them vintage? VIntage = good, right?

I'll second the Indian Tabacs. Can't find one that I liked at all. And haven't had anything from Thompsons that resembled a good cigar.

Re: Dog Rockets

I will have to disagree about the Indian Tobac cigars. I'm not saying that all of them are top of the line but their Cameroon Legends and Super Fuerte Madura taste as good or better as some of the so called "Premium" brands.

Riata
Don Jose
Papayo
These three are the absolute worst I've ever smoked. I haven't had one of them in more than five years and the bad memory still lingers.

Tried a few Don Diegos and have yet to have one I did not chuck mid stick. I'm shicked how many people do not like Indian Tabac. I love the Super Fuertes, but than again if everyone liked the and disliked the same sticks there would be no need for so many brands and blends.

Puros Indios I just don't like, only had a few different sticks but everyone reminded me of the Roly's.
