Then again, when it comes to lighter smokes, i'm a picky ass. Dunhill or Diamond Crown only.
I had a cussano 18 that made me nauseated also....I thought it was something I ate that day

Re: Dog Rockets

Scott, those Roly's are the worst dog rockets I have tried, yes I rate dog rockets just like good cigars and those are on the bottom of the list. Thanks for the trade, at least I'm not stuck with a bundle.

To me the Puros Indios taste the same as the Roly's, just have a different band on them.

My friend liked them too. It's all in what you like to taste. I have a friend who would say that all Maduro's are dog rockets, but from one of the polls here on CS, 39 out of 54 voters love Maduro's.

It had a sweet taste on my lips that I personally did not like.

Re: Dog Rockets

La Estrella. I got a few rosados from cbid. I threw them in with a few other bids that I won since shipping was $0.50. I swear to God, the first one I tried was like trying to light and suck on a Slim Jim. I tossed the rest of the fiver immediately.

I've given up on Puros Indios, too. I can't get past the first 1/2 dozen draws on anything they have. Honestly, they taste like you just licked a cat's a$$. They must cure their wrapper tobacco in old paint cans or something.

Re: Dog Rockets

The only true "dog rocket" I've had was a Nat Sherman. I am told by many they make a good cigar. Must have had one with a horse hair in it or something.

I did find a hair in one I clipped the other day. What a turn-off. (not a N.S.)

Definately Quorum cigars-they look very good, the band is pretty swish but they taste like common garden grass, only slightly less appealing (yes i did try some grass just for the purposes of comapring a Quorum to it).
Also, for any people thinking of buying Charatan cigars, dont. Again they look great, have a beautiful aroma but taste of nothing at all. Not exactly a dog rocket but for the £8 ($14) you can pay for them over here (UK) theyre not worth it.

Hamlets!!!
or King Edwards.

these are the rubbish that pass as cigars in this country and they are foul, and over priced, for the price of a packet of King Edwards from my local supermarket i could order about the same ammount of Padron 2000's and pay for most of the shipping!

Totally agree with you there! Makes me sick just thinking about them. Sadly, I bet most cigar smokers in the UK smoke these...

Lol, i was once offered a toke on a hamlet, whilst smoking a cuban and all i can remember is my mouth burning. however, i find that sometimes it is useful to smoke a Hamlet or KE just to remind you what makes a fine cigar so fine!

Re: Dog Rockets

Life is too short for a bad cigar. So, I generally try to avoid the "bargan" brands. With that said, I seem to have stumbled onto some pretty yucky sticks during my first year of cigar smoking.

The one that sticks out in my memory was an 1876 Reserve. I "won" a 5'ver of these on the devilsite ... seemed like a real "deal" at the time. The only flavor it had was harsh. Can't really think of anything good to say about them other than they were cheap.

Re: Dog Rockets

I can't believe nobody has mentioned the A. Turrent. Absolutely one of the worst cigars I have ever had. Fortunately I have never had most of the sticks previously mentioned such as Cremosas and Tamborils. Also not fond of the Indian Tabacs, Victor Sinclairs, and Te-Amos.
