Problem

Well Im smoking a cigar now, and my cutter f'd up the end and its unraveling and coming apart. Problem is, I really like this cigar and I want to smoke it, however tobacco is coning out and getting in my teeth. Is there any way to make this cigar smokable??

Re: Problem

Usually there is not a lot you can do once this starts to happen.

You might licking the wraper and seeing if it will stick. But I have not had a lot of luck with trying that.

How far down did you clip the cigar. Sounds like you might have went a little too far.

Well, you said the wrapper is already unraveling. Can you sacrifice a little more of the wrapper and cut it again, making sure to hold it together? After a dozen drags or so, the tobacco probably will be consolidated with enough saliva and stuff.

Re: Problem

For some reason my cutter didnt cut, it more like smashed the end of the cigar, needless to say I put that cutter in the trash. I am probibly going to hear it for this one, but i put some tape on the end. Just enough to hold it together, but not so much as to affect its nubbing ability. Thought I would try it. But thanks for the extremely quick responces, much apreciated!!

Re: Problem

This is when being a chomper is better than being a drooler.

Sometimes you can slide the ring back on if it isn't ripped, but mostly I lick and chomp. Sounds disgusting when you write it down.

Re: Problem

I had a horrible cut one time from a knife because I forgot my cutter, didn't even bother trying to lick it, just turned it around and smoked it backwards...worked great

that is hilarious! I don't ever want to jack up a cigar with a dull cutter. After it took a little muscle to get through my Rocky Patel today, I decided it was time to order a Xikar Xi2. $29 at famous-smoke .

I may get a palio soon. Gonna look at my store tomorrow because I lost my cutter. (I know they dont have palio, but they may have something to fill the gap for the time being) It worked so well and I had it for over a year.
