Leavin' on a jet plane . . .
The week I've been waiting on for what seems like an eternity. Packing the whole family up (and an otterbox of cigars) Saturday for a trip to Riviera Maya.

There's an LCdH in Playa del Carmen, I see. Any other suggestions for an active bunch?

Riviera Maya is beautiful, had my honeymoon there 2 years ago. Make sure to go see some cenotes, the large underground fresh water reservoirs. It was a balmy 100+, but the water was so cool. The reef snorkling was nice, but might be a bit boring for kids though, depending on their age. Not as spectacular as the scuba-diving versions you see on TV.
