Fuente Fuente Opus X 2005 ???

Since I am new to smoking, I am keeping track of cigars I smoke and what I thought of them at the time of proper disposal.

I recently acquired a Fuente Fuente Opus X, but am not sure which one. The cigar shop said it was a lancero, but the cigar I bought is longer than the measurements I find online (I have only found a petite lancero).

Cigar itself is about 7 3/8 with a ring gauge probably around 40 (smaller than a 44 for sure). It has a little extra piece of wrapper at the head (not included in the measurement).

The cigar came in a glass tube and has a 2005 band around it as well.

Sorry, don't have access to a digital camera.

any clues?

It is possible they produced a lancero in 2005 that is different from the petite lancero?

thanks

I don't know, but it kinda sounds like one that comes in a gift set. What about this? I know, from the pictures, it comes with a 2005 band and a glass tube. Just a thought.

Gift Set

Sure. It's an Opus X Lancero:

Since it is in a tube, it came in one of these two gift sets:

http://www.vitolas.net/displayimage.php?pos=-196

The retailer probably broke the sets up to sell the cigars individually. The MSRP for the sets is listed in the above two links.

BTW, for anything Fuente-related (and soon, other brands, including Cubans), go here:

http://www.vitolas.net/

And click on "Search" -- enter what you're looking for, and you'll probably find it. If you don't, let me know.

Perfect, I had looked at that site already, but didn't find those pages. The beauty is the bottom on in each picture - the Lancero "Phantom" at 7 ½" x 41.

thanks for all the help.
