Dad Burn Dog

So, I won a cigarbid auction (CAO Criollo, La Vieja Lether Patch and Indian Tabac madurro) and the box was placed on my front porch.

Saw that it had been delivered on the 5th, but had not seen it - checked the backyard and the stupid dog had chewed up the box and some of the cigars. The rest of the cigars were out in 90 degree heat with 10% humidity.

So, should I kill the dog....

Re: Dad Burn Dog

It depends on how many cigars the dog actuall ate. If he got a couple down, he probably got sick enough to never touch cigars and maybe packages again. How did the rest of the cigars end up?

Bummer. I guess the dog thought it was his package.

I can sympathize. Over the years my German Shepard ate my favorite chair, the couch, the hot tub cover, doors, windows, walls, baseboards, cable TV cable and he ran away several times and I had to bail him out of the pound. Should have shot him years ago.

He's 11 now and does nothing but sleep....thank god!

Hey Robert, my male Weim has done way worse than that and he is still around. Maybe I'm just a glutton for punishment.

I think StudentSmoker is on to something. It he ate a few sticks I'm sure it made him nice and sick. He'll probably never want to do that again.

Don't shoot the dog, they are only dumb animals, not like us who go and fill up all the credit cards over at the devil site, we are smart.

Damn...I don't think I would have bailed him out....

I have the most laid back dog I have ever seen. When we went to the pound to get a dog, he was the only one not up on the fence barking. His name is Bob and it couldn't be any more fitting.

Re: Dad Burn Dog

My friend's brother lives in the Northwest Territories and he is into dog sledding. Just before Christmas one year he got a new pup. He flew down for the Holiday and didn't want to leave the youngster, so he brought him. He brought the dog to his in-laws on Christmas Eve. The dog jumped on the table and ate the turkey (just like in the Christmas Story). Broke the family heirloom platter the turkey was on. Next he put the dog in the car before everyone could kill it and the dog ate all the seatbelts.

That dog was no longer welcome!

Re: Dad Burn Dog

Sorry about the smokes. I just wouldn't have an animal around that destroys my stuff. My smokes are sacred so I'm afraid I might have sent Spot to meet his maker.

I love dogs, don't get me wrong, but there are two things that send me over the edge when it comes to canines:

1) Chewers (i.e. destroyers)
2) Crotch-sniffers

Our best friends have a dog that does both. The other day they came home she had destroyed the new cushions that they had bought for their patio chairs. It looked like it had snowed. Every time I'm around this dog I want to hire Colonel Mustard to kill her in the library with a lead pipe.
