Can you help a noob out?
alright so I'm totally frustrated. to many choices, not enough info/expierence. I was hoping an expert gorilla could help me out. I need to get a sampler pack recomendation or perhaps have someone put together a "kick butt" sampler pack for me. I'm willing to pay. I'm just so confused. and all the online vendors either offer half of what i'm looking for or a monster box.
Here's the deal, I want to try/sample some FULL bodied (pack a punch) cigars. Here's a list of what i would like to try from my research/findings (someone let me know if they are weak or blah) CAO Extreme CAO Brazilla Gol Comacho 11/18 La Flora Dominica double ligero AF Flora Fina 858 sun grown AF Anejo Reserva Shark 77 Rocky y Patel Vintage 1992 Pardon 3000 I don't really want a 5 pack but just a single. I don't know if anyone is willing to part with something like this or just name a price etc. I'm just having a totally hard time finding this all in one grab. thanks everyone.!! hOOkem. |

Re: Can you help a noob out?
I wouldnt say that the CAO Extreme or the AF Flor Fina really pack that 'punch' youre looking for. theyre very quality and tastey, but i'd say theyre pretty medium bodied.
And i'll echo the fact that the Shark is impossible to find. actually, you can find it, but mostly for 30-40$ ea. not worth it. the rest can be found at any respectable neighborhood cigar shop. if you really wanted to order online though, there are almost too many options.

I saw this online vendor posted in another thread and I just filled up my low inventory of L500cabs from them for dirt cheap. www.longashes2u.com. They sell a lot of singles, so you may be able to put a nice package together for yourself minus the sharks. |

Re: Can you help a noob out?
Keep in mind that everyone having a diff in tastes will clasify cigars differently. That said - as a Rocky fan - I find that the Vintage 92 is more of a medium.
As mentioned - that Shark is going to run you some bucks. I might add a Hoya Dark Sumtra and a Punch Gran Cru to your list. And lastly - it's best to try at least two of any cigar, outside of obivous dogs, before you either write them off or go for a box. Ron |

Well I hope that helps... Deez PS.. The Camacho Diploma Series with the Exception of the Maduros( I am not a big maduro fan) are excellent cigars, if you are eager to try something real strong.. if you can find it get the Camacho Liberty series. An Unbelieveable smoke. Some will say it is very similar to a Cuban cigar, I say it is a damn nice Cigar, why worry about what it is like... Because to me it is a stand alone awsome smoke. I guess I need to go shopping again.. damn... LOL Last edited by Diselfitter; 06-09-2006 at 06:16 PM.. |

Re: Can you help a noob out?
Throw in a Joya de Nicaragua Antano 1970 if it's not too late.......a great cigar for the money....try the Consul.
