Re: What's Your Favorite Budget Brand??

I smoke the Optimo Clasico on the golf course. Also a very mild cigar. These are not the machine made versions. Yes, they come from the distributor of Swisher but these are handmade cigars that are as nice of a yard cigar as you are going to find. If, of course, you like them mild.

Re: What's Your Favorite Budget Brand??

I like the FDO naturals myself. I pick them up a few at a time for 1.50 each when i swing by the local B&M.

When ordering online, i like the Fam. 3000 and for a few bucks more the Sancho Panza Double Maduros.

Agree with c2000, Sancho Panza Double Maduro is tasty & cheap. Also, I like the Cusano 18 paired maduro. Either available pretty cheap. I buy online becuase I live in Excessive Taxville (aka California).

I buy online too, due to living in Taxachusetts. You guys convinced me, I think I'm going to try the Sancho Panzas.

longashes2u.com

They're prices on LGC, CAO, Sancho Panza, Camacho etc, turn them into everyday, cheap smokes.

I didn't think their site and prices were legit, but they are and shipping is fast.

Buying at B&Ms in L.A. is just crazy.

Re: What's Your Favorite Budget Brand??

FdO for sure, and my "go to" is the Saint Luis Rey Rothchilde Maduro- which if ordered online can be just under $2 as stick or just slightly over with shipping. The SLR RM is one of my favorite smokes, period. Sssssssssshhhhhhhh - this little secret is just for us gorillas - I don't want demand and price to go up on this little beauty.

My everday cigar has become the Padron 2000 nat. One great cigar I get a good deal on them if I buy them by the box.

Re: What's Your Favorite Budget Brand??

I guess "budget" is sort of relative, but you can score a lot of 5 Vegas dirt cheap on CBid, and I loves me some 5 Vegas. You can consistently score boxes of Series 'A' for $40 or less, and I just got six fivers of the classic line (3 robusto and 3 torpedo) for $7.00/fiver.

I also just bought a box of Padron 3000's (both natural and maduro available) from Billboard Tobacco for $72.00 (%20 off). That's $2.88/stick. I've never considered the 3000 a "budget" stick, but at $2.88.....

Re: What's Your Favorite Budget Brand??

I guess you have a pretty generous budget if you can spend $3 per cigar. How many you smoke would make a big difference I suppose.

If I only smoked three of four sticks per week I would go with Padron 2000M, Padron 3000Nat., LGC Gol, ERDM Nat.. All in the $2 to $3.50 range.

So far the best I have found are the V Centennial brand and Churchill Deluxe. Yeah, I know that they may be looked down on, but the V's have a nice mild taste that I enjoy, and I find that the taste of the Churchill Deluxe are better than most bundles.

So what do you run to for a budget smoke???

All The Best To My Fellow BOTL'S
Well, there's "budget" and then there's "BUDGET"... The difference being price. For a top-line budget cigar I definitely recommend the GPECC Epicure (50 for $62) from JR Cigars. I rate these very high and think they are incredible smokes if they retailed for $6 apiece.

And for those of us who really like cheap cigars the Roly line is available at a local B&M for $12 per bundle of 20 in the robusto size. And that's about as cheap as I'll go. Plus I actually like these on occasion.

Thanks!
