What's Your Favorite Budget Brand??

Myself, I keep to a strict budget. So I'm always looking for a tasty bargain when it comes to my stogies. Most of the budget brands that I have tried taste just like what they are.. a budget stick. But I have found two that I enjoy regularly, and they are both from the devil site we all frequent.

So far the best I have found are the V Centennial brand and Churchill Deluxe. Yeah, I know that they may be looked down on, but the V's have a nice mild taste that I enjoy, and I find that the taste of the Churchill Deluxe are better than most bundles.

So what do you run to for a budget smoke???

For NC's I like the Connie #9's, Oliva Bundles and Rocky Patel Vintage seconds. Famous smokes Nicaraguan 3000's are pretty darn good as well.
For Cubans nothing beats Rafael Gonzalez Panatelas Extra for a budget stick.

What they said. As you can see by my title, I'm a bundle whore. So far those are in the top ten of my list.

Flor de Oliva Corojo's are great and I'm also partial to the RP Sungrown Selects.

La Vieja Habana has to be one of the best inexpensive cigars around.

Sancho Panza Xtra Fuerte is my favorite budget cigar followed by Famous 3000s.

Re: What's Your Favorite Budget Brand??

I think that if you can find them, the Victor Sinclair Vintage line is a great budget brand as i have found them for as little as $2 a stick, which for a high quality brand has got to be good.

NCRadioman turned me on to REO by Rocky Patel

a dark, 5 year aged Costa Rican/Sumatra wrapper gracing an aged mixture of Honduran and Nicaraguan long-fillers.
I just bought a box of twenty torps on Cbid for just short of $60 (CI's regular price is $100, MSRP is $11. I like these better than anything else I can find for less than twice the price.

Re: What's Your Favorite Budget Brand??

On my afternoon constitutional today, I had my driver stop at a local tobacconist to pick me up something cheap. I find it exciting to have a common cigar from time to time. It allows me to feel more in touch with the peasanty. He returned with a Montecristo White Rothchilde that was rather nice, even for a discount purchase.

I relished the opportunity to feel like the everyday man! It had an interesting flavor and body, and I detected some subtle hints of burnt 7-year old Madagascar Vanilla. Overall, not a TERRIBLE purchase, but I can assure you that I'll be going back to the good ones for a while!
