Smoke what you like man, not what's "popular".

Think again Guido
I find I try to keep some of my favs in stock at all times, like BPC, BCJ, SCDH Principes, LGC Tainos, and the like, while trying new things at the same time

I do a plan similar to Dale's but just scheduled differently. I usually do my varietys during lunch and during the day and unwind with something familiar when I get home.

Re: Regular Rotation or Variety

This is a great thread. If you opened my humi you will find a wide assortment of sticks, and would prob think I smoke a wide variety of brands, sizes and blends. My intentions are to try them all, but I always find myself grabbing the old reliables and when they get low I always replenish them without giving much thought to trying what I have stocked in the humi. I'm going to have to force myself to try the different sticks I have. Who knows I may find a new go to smoke, but as of right now I seem to stick to my LFDs and CAO Brazilias.

Re: Regular Rotation or Variety

I try new things most of the time since I too am fairly new to smoking. When I have had bad luck trying new things I will go to a standby (RASS, Party Short, Hemmingway, Pepin, Padron). I do see myself going to the Cubans much more often when I want to be satisified though. Many of the singles that I bought when I started will probably never get smoked.

Re: Regular Rotation or Variety

I have favourites (Monte #2 for instance) that i will continue to buy regularly for as long as i feel the standard is still there (i think RyJ Churchies were once like this for many smokers but less so now as they are poorly rolled often).
However i think it is only healthy to continue to also buy smokes youve never tried before on the offchance you find the cigar for you. cigars are so dynamic that tastes and lines are evolving so muchthat if you stick with just one brand you will miss out.

Re: Regular Rotation or Variety

Although I try to purchase different brands I find most times when I go to the humi with the intention of trying something new, I end up just picking up one of my bundled cigars, saving the premiums only for a 'special occasion' (which rarely comes). I really need to get out of this habit!
