Bought Them..Hate Them..What To do With Them

Was going through my cooler earlier tonight looking at some of the stuff I have purchased, you know those bundles and special e-mail deals of a lifetime that looked so good but smoked so bad. Curious what other people do with their mistakes? For the most part I have learned & don't jump in with both feet anymore without having 1st sampled a single or two but I still have too deal with my mistakes. Toss them, give them to a "friend", what?

Hard to chuck what cost me $$'s in the wastebasket, but like the line in the old Rambo movie, some of these things would "make a billy goat puke".

If they were mine and so bad I wouldn't smoke them, I certainly wouldn't give them to a friend.

I'd be tempted to offer them to anyone that wanted them (perhaps someone does like them afterall) and if not, trash them.

Its probably a good idea to keep a hand full of them around for when someone comes along and wants a cigar, and you get that feeling that they just want it to "fit in" and are not looking to enjoy it.

Thats what i do with some of my mistakes. If i have more than a hand full i typically find someone that wants to take them off my hands. Id rather not throw them away if i know someone could enjoy them.

I can usually unload them to our Sales Manager, he really doesn't know a good smoke when it hits him, he gave me 8 Ashtons because he really didn't like the size. His regular smoke is a Garcia Vega Cigarillo or Elegante's. He felt that a AF Privada #1 (Claro) was too mild. So, I can get away with giving him some real trash like an Andros. Hmmm... bet he would really like a Creamosa

Either put them in the moochador or if they're not too bad ship them to our armed forces.Those guys and gals like just about anything sent from home.

Seriously - go down the trades, pass forum and just ask who wants them. Just cause you don't like them does not mean someone else won't like them. Everyone has different taste. Either give them away there or get a stick in return for them.

One man's trash is another man's treasure...I'd hold onto them for trades or giveaways...if you're tight on space and need to make some room ASAP, then I'd go the Armed Forces route.

I would post them for sale at 50% what you paid for them. Maybe they would be a decent smoke at that price to the next guy? Better than a total loss at least...

Donate them to the troops in the Gulf Region. There's a couple of people who will handle all the shipping for you.

I'd offer them up with full disclosure. I made a post once absolutely hating a candela wrapper and had two PM's in minutes asking for them. I had no problem parting with them. There is always someone willing to try what someone else thinks may be a bad smoke. As long as your honest that you don't like them then I don't see where anyone else would have a problem with it. Lets face it I've liked some sticks that others have said taste like a$$....

You could be making some other botls day by goving them away.

I just unloaded some cigars that I did not care for. I just made a thread in the pass/trades/bombs section "who wants some rockets?"

In 5 min, I had 3 people PM me. No one complained about the packages they got!

First of all go to the US Patent office and patent a laser cigar lighter (call it "Lazer Light"). Then use these cigars to test your new invention. That way you will be rich because you invented the "Lazer Light" and will not have ruined any of your good smokes in the process.
