Angry Well I Just Might Have Lost Them...

Well I didn't want to admit it, but I just may have lost my Xikar Xi2 cutter and my Dad's old Duck's Unlimited Zippo with the torch insert. I took them both to the beach with six other friends along with a cheapo lighter and cutter. Well, of course I've got the cheapie stuff, but I still haven't been able to find the lighter and the cutter. What's even more depressing, is that as soon as I got home I had gotten my leather case from Xikar in the mail.

It's very agrivating because the Xikar wasn't cheap, and the Zippo kicked ass. I'm not too too sore about the Zippo though, as my Dad has another DU shell exactliy like the other one. Didn't work that well anyhow... Before we left, we looked all over the house and couldn't find them anywhere. I highly doubt any of my friends would have lifted them. I figured I'd just find it it my luggage once I got back, or maybe one of my friends would find it. It's been four days, and no luck.

WHAT THE HELL!!!

If my stuff doesn't turn up within the next week or so, it looks like I'll be getting new stuff and some lucky Gorilla will get a free leather case from yours truly. Maybe a Blazer lighter and a Palio? The Palio does have two blades right?

Man that sucks. I've lost quite a few lighters cutters myself, but never anything as expensive as a Xikar.

And yes, the Palio is a two bladed cutter.

Re: Well I Just Might Have Lost Them...

That really sucks I have my punch cutter and torch together on a ring that I keep with my keys, touch wood I have never lost it. My Xikar usually stays at home and gets lost there...

Re: Well I Just Might Have Lost Them...

I thought I had lost both my Xikar and my zippo last week also, but they both did show up the next week. Phew, took a load off my shoulder. Hope you find them!

That sucks bro....

If you go with a Palio cutter you won't be dissappointed but don't forget you can get the Xikar low end model for 29$. I have both of those and couldn't tell you which one I like better.

Hope it wasn't one of your friends.

Shawn

Re: Well I Just Might Have Lost Them...

Sorry to hear that. I still use a cheap two-blade cutter because I lose things all the time. I would have definitely taken a cheap cutter to the beach because I'd probably lose my canopy and chair so no way would I risk the Xikar.

Hope it turns up.

Re: Well I Just Might Have Lost Them...

As much as misery loves company, I am not glad to hear others have the same problems. I had my Xikar in my golf cart, just my son and I using it, and I guess it jumped out somewhere on the last few holes.
The good news is I bought a Palio to replace it, and think it is a better cutter. I still miss the heft of the Xikar, though.
Hope yours turns up in the luggage.

This is why I take a cruddy lighter and cutter with me if I go somewhere. But I am very careful about my posessions too.

Or built a second house just for smoking cigars.

Yes, I do hope you find your lighter and cutter. It sucks to lose things, I only hope the someone who finds them cuts a finger off and catches their hair a fire. [jokin']
