My New Favorite NC.....by Far!

The more I have them, the more I love them.
Those Padron 1926 35's Maduro are tasty little critters.
I have bought many loose ones in the past but I just picked up a box during the Padron event at TW in South Florida this past weekend and the box is half gone already.

Interesting to note that I bought my box when I first got to the store, long before the Padron family showed up. From the moment they arrived until the moment they left, all Orlando Padron and Jorge Padron smoked were the 35's Maduro.

So.....either they were trying to promote the heck out of them (which I don't think because I was the one promoting them to everyone) or the folks that make those wonderful Annis, who happen to have a choice of smoking anything in their factory, prefer the 35 for a reason. I believe it is the latter specially when the story has it that Jose Padron was looking for an ideal smoke to have while on the way from his house to the airport, which is 35 minutes, hence the name 35. So they were basically created for the family to smoke and sell the rest, as is Padron's motto.

If you are a Padron Anni fan, and you haven't tried one yet, it is a must do cigar. If you have never had an Anni and want to know why the fuss and the cost, it is a must do cigar that may have you looking for a part time job to buy more. They are a very steep smoke at around $10 but certainly very well worth it.

I concur w/ that statement. Jorge signed my box of 35s at a event here in Maryland. Padron is my go to smoke when I don't want any surprizes. What a fine product they make! Yes Sir...Dave

I have not had the 35 but the Padron Annis are THE smoke in my opinion! I will have to hunt down a 35 and try it. Thanks for sharing.

Re: My New Favorite NC.....by Far!

Thanks for bringing these up Carlos, I couldn't agree more. Beside some Tats, these have been the only NCs I've bought for better than 2 months. I picked up a box a few weeks ago, having never tried the maddie, but wow these are just amazing.

Maybe a bit strong for the newer guys, but it has that certain something that I had been looking for in a NC.

I can see the price being a problem for such a small stick, but it is so worth it, IMHO.

Plus my drive to work is....35 to 40 minutes

To speak negatively of it, I think we could bad mouth the size of the stick, being so small.
We could also bad mouth the price as loose ones go for around $12 for a cigar that makes the Parti Short look like a Churchill (exaggerated analogy - trying to be humorous). That is truly steep for most folks and frankly, if you ask my wife, she will tell you it is too steep for me also.

That is as far as I would venture to think anyone can bad mouth it.
Last night, my dad stopped over and along with my son, three more 35's were sent packing to cigar heaven. I must be nuts as I have a rather large selection of premium ISOMs but yet I can just see myself burning through this box of 35's before going back to them.

Re: My New Favorite NC.....by Far!

I agree, I LOVE 1926's, but man are they expensive!! I've never been a fan of the 35's as they are too short of a smoke for the money. I'd rather go with a No. 6 or pony up to one of the larger No. 2's or No. 9's (and then be prepared to plunk down a lot of change). As much as I love these sticks, I don't smoke a lot of them anymore due to the hefty price tag. When you have other smokes on the scene which rival them (i.e. Tatuajes and many Habanos for that matter) for a good bit less, it's hard to not look around a bit.

If you love PAM's, you ought to just keep smoking them and NOT try a 1926. I made the mistake and did, hence the reason my humi never seems to have many PAM's in it anymore and mostly 1926's. Although I still enjoy firing up a PAM from time to time, more often I would rather just save my money and have a 2000 or 3000. However, when when it comes to '26's, if you can get beyond what they cost, oh man are they good!

Gotta be the opposing voice here; I wasn't impressed with the #35; but my opinion is based upon smoking just one #35 shortly after they came out. I will have to try another one after reading soo many people like 'em.

The #9 Natural is still my favorite Padrón.

That happens.
Give it a shot.
No doubt the #9 is a nice stick.
The 35 is bit stronger to me than the #9.
I find the strength of it to be even a bit more than the 40th that I just had this past weekend but that could be my screwed up taste buds all burnt out from my love of blazing hot pizza.

What the heck is an "NC"?? C'mon folks, they are just cigars, there are lousy cigars from Cuba too.
