anyone ever had a Cohiba (Yellow Band Jibarito)
Just wanted to know if the Cohiba Yellow Band Jibarito are at all good, or at all like the Cohiba red dot.

The red-dot and the yellow-banded NC Cohiba are not the same cigar at all, and the non-Habana yellow band is an inferior cigar, if it's still around. I don't think all that much of the red-dots, either, but at least they're well-made and fairly consistent.

Very welcome. Matter of fact, I think there was a trademark dispute between General Cigar, who owns the non-Cuban mark, and the manufacturers of the Cuban-looking yellow bands.

I have had a few decent ones and few bad ones. I keep them to give to my golf buddies when they decide they want a smoke.

There are many better smokes for the same money. Try Oliva bundles or Padron Fuma's. Great inexpensive smokes for not a lot of jack!

I Have heard a few things about "Olivia" but not much about which ones were good...I think I'm going to get some... any recomendations...
btw: I have only smoked like 50 cigars in my life. I'm just getting into it and I have bought some crappy samplers from thompson and I seem to be a perfect target for marketing scemes on crappy smokes. So i REALLY apreciate the advice. JPH |
