Tastes like latex?
Last night I pulled out an HdM Excalibur Royal Sterling after a long day. It was my first and gotta say that I was completely dissappointed. I'll have to try another down the road, but this cigar left a taste in my mouth like latex. It felt like going to the dentist and having them stick the latex glove in my mouth. I know it wasn't my taste buds cause the Padron 2000 tasted great. And the humidity and temp has been perfect so I'm stumped. Anyone else ever got this?

Is there a chance that you had some sort of latex or something on your hands. Possibly an after sex smoke or something...J/K I have no idea.

Can't say I've ever tasted latex in a cigar, but every now and then I do find off-tastes in my favorites. I chalk it up to the variations in tobacco itself. And it isn't all that uncommon to find foreign matter in cigars, either.

I have no idea. Try something else and see if your taste buds are out of wack due to illness or something like that. I was sick earlier this year and everything I smoked for a few weeks tasted like cardboard. Pretty expensive cardboard at that.

Not sure why it tasted that way. I have had a few and never ran into that problem. Next time I try one I will keep my taste buds open for that.
