Arturo Fuente substitute?

I will admit I have become a big fan of AF sticks! Maduro Chateau Fuente seems to just be perfect. My pocket book is getting a little tired of the hits from ordering these though! Anyone know of a Consuegra or maybe a JR alternative for these?

Try these.

Montesino cigars are made by A. Fuente, which is why the quality and flavor you'd expect from that heritage is present in every Montesino. All hand-crafted, using a blend of top grade Dominican filler and silky, Ecuadorian-grown Connecticut wrappers, Montesino cigars are superb in every way including the price! Choose from three wrappers, Natural, Maduro or Claro, in select sizes and taste why Montesino cigars have become such a popular selection!
I enjoy the maduro robustos. They end up being about $2.50 a stick.

The Consuegras are all Villazon products, mainly from Honduras and not Dominican Republic like the AFs. As for the JR Alts...well, they're not bad but if they mimic any particular Fuente stick, it's just a coincidence. Even Lew Rothman has said that the JR Alternatives don't duplicate the character of the original.

Agreed!...These are a great bundle cigar rolled my apprentice rollers in the Fuente factory. They come in both natural and maduro and for around $28-$36 a bundle, they can't be beat. A lot of folks around here smoke them.

Try the Tampa Sweathearts bundles.

Some of them are very close to what you are looking for.

I buy AF Brevas(Nats) to take to work. They're Corona sized mixed filler cigars, made with the same leaf as the premium lines. And they're pretty darn good.............
SmokeAll has the Maduros for $55 for a box of 50 and Don is a great guy to deal with. Just be prepared to chat awhile if you mention football!
