RP Sungrown

I posted a couple weeks back to try and get some feedback on this stick, and all the posts came back positive. Well, I picked up a few yesterday and than had the opportunity to smoke one last night. Wow!, what a great stick. I actually enjoy these more than the Edge, so I guess there's a possibility that I will be pulling the Edge out of my normal rotation and replacing it with the Sungrowns. I just found it so tasty and the aroma was terrific. I'm hoping to get into another tonight but it's not looking to good as I am waiting for the wife to finish dilly dallying so we can go get dinner. If I don't get to one tonight I will be definatly be making a date with another tomorrow. If you have not tried these I highly recommend that you do.

Re: RP Sungrown

I might have posted in your other thread - but yeah - I love those things. Got another box on the way myself. Also I picked up a bundle of seconds - not bad, not sure if they are as good as the regular - but not bad.

I bought one saturday at my regular B&M. It's sitting in my humidor next to the a Rocky P 1990 and 1992. Nice to know, I'm looking forward to having it now.

Re: RP Sungrown

I saw the seconds and was wondering how they were compared to the regular non blemished ones. I know the 90 and 92 seconds are just as good as the 1sts, so I was actually thinking of buying a bundle of the Sungrown seconds to try out. I just have to figure out where to ship them so the wife doesn't freak when another box comes in being I am supposed to be on a buying Hiatus.

Well - don't tell anyone but I have a 25 count Reed and Barton that I only keep RP Sungrowns in. After I ran out of the regulars I put the bundled seconds in it. The longer they sit - the better they have been tasting. So - given a little time they may just be as good as the first's.

But for the price - I'd say go ahead and get them - if'n you can sneak them past the wife -

Re: RP Sungrown

I've got one of the little ones i've been meaning to smoke.....cant wait to though. Such a good little zing to it. Peppery, but not so much that you have to have milk or something to calm it down. It'll get you messed up too haha.

I haven't burned one of these for some time and I'm getting the feeling I need to get back to my roots. Definitely nice smokes to sit back and relax with.
