New York City - Gotham!
It ain't Vegas this week, but it's what I've got. I'm headed for a few days in NYC with wife and step-offspring for Phantom, Guggenheim, MoMA, Flatiron Bldg. spotting, Lady Liberty, Central Park, breakfast'es, lunches, dinners and all that jazz.
What I don't know about are any cigar must-sees in the big city or on Staten Island. Advice, besides a buying a Rolex for $40?

There's a shop with rollers on 9th and 39th called Tainos. Not the nicest looking shop but the owner is a really good guy and their cigars are pretty good. Also if you want to have a smoke after dinner without leaving the restaurant than check out Florios in Little Italy. Have fun and enjoy it!

Re: New York City - Gotham!
I've visted all the ones in the city that roll their own.
It's kinda nice to be able to walk into a local store and pick up a freshly rolled stick right off the table. Luckily for me, I live in an area that offers several such "chinchales" to choose from. Manhattan alone has several that were featured in CA a few months back. http://www.cigaraficionado.com/Cigar...2,1573,00.html I've tried the La Rosa Cubanas and they're pretty good. I wouldn't say it blew me away and left me licking my chops, but it was a decent smoke at a more than decent price. The PB Cubans are my fave of the bunch. http://larosacubanacigars.com/index.html http://www.tainocigars.com http://www.pbcuban.com http://www.reservadominicana.com And by all means, schedule some time to go hang out at Club Macanudo! |
