Pre-embargo, box-pressed

Sold for $7,590
November 2000
New York, Rockefeller Center

That would be roughly $150 per cigar, or $750 per fiver.
I think this is exactly what is being missed. The person who can afford to pay that price probably isn't looking for an everyday smoke. They are probably collecting and adding to their treasures.

I'm sure who ever buys those done hills can afford to do so and will probably smoke them sparingly.

No way, if I had that kind of money I could get a whole box of Padron 40th (20 count) for less.

In reply to this post, I quote my good friend Bender the Robot off Futurama:

Bender: How much is that cigar?
Clerk: That cigar is the rare {blah blah blah}, the wrapper is actually a piece of the U.S. Contitution, and it is $10,000.
Bender: I'll give you a $100 for it.
Clerk: *laugh* I don't think so.
Bender: Ok then, I'll just take these $100 buglar tools, and.. uh.. what time will you be closing tonight?

For that price you would have thought they could afford some decent packaging.

Re: MSRP $750.00 For A Single Stick

I don't know. If I was old (which I am) and loaded (which I'm not) I don't really think I'd give a damn about the cost. Better than the Government or my kids ending up with the money. Wife use to care for a lady who was a millionaire many times over, tight as a drum but that's why she had the bucks in the 1st place. But she cringed everytime she had to spend a dime. Passed away a few years ago and now her heirs are living the high life. Now I don't believe in burning money but lighting up a cigar beats providing my heirs new houses, cars and trips to Europe.

The guys that buy these things generally do not have a problem accessing large quantities of cigars that we mortals find special. Thus a box of Padron 40th will be minor league.
