Also, there ARE a lot of people onsite who do have answers. The question wasn't a hard question for those with the knowledge of it. Also, I did not just want to know about Nero Extra's. IF, you read the post I wanted to know "who" supplies Thompson's and others with their private brands. Really a pretty simple question for such a knowledgeable group of people. The major players in the industry are well known. I also still think it an interesting question. I found out what I wanted to know about some of it. Sorry if it offended you.

Perhaps when you post, you could make an effort to sound less like a jackass, and people might be more receptive of you

And why on earth are you researching Thompson's brand cigars? They are some of the absolute worst dog rockets in production.

I figured it out I been following this thread and finally figured out what is really up. Bob is planning on going into the internet cigar business and he is going to market his own line of cigars. What he is doing and why he is so interested in Thompson's brands is he wants to learn who to avoid.

No, but I think I figured it out. Bob aka "flowerpowerpetalpusher" is trying to track down Philip Gregory Wayne so he can play a game of nude Croquet with him.

Don't you need "blue balls" for that?

Who cares who rolls Thompson's cigars. Perhaps you work for Thompson's and are trying to associate there cigars with a well known company to boost sales and image.

There are capable rollers everywhere. The fact that they use rejected poor quality tobacco is what bothers me. Even the best company can roll dog rockets if they use sh*t tobacco to begin with. It may be tobacco grown accross the street from excellent tobacco, but it's how it is fermented and aged and stored that matters. On the other side of the fence, Fuente Curly heads are rolled by inexperienced noobs but using excellent tobacco. They are pretty tasty but can be poorly constructed. Give me quality ingredients over looks any day, and when you get both, it is a good day.

Re: Thompsons, JR's etc...Private lines?

NOW, I have to agree on dog rockets! I always have to spit them out and throw them away! I don't work for the company and could give a rats azz...what they do. All I know is I keep getting their mailers and see their overpriced humidors with a few samples of cigars. I also like others found their slowness to ship annoying.
I can get cigars from the B&M here cheaper or locally here in MO. I am no retailer. I am retired. I don't care to get into the cigar making business. I will play naked Croquet with whomever I please but I ain't traveling to S. America to do it. I might go to St. Marteens Orient Beach though. I have my own opinion and at my age am open to the opinions of others. I have found the threads helpful AND THE PEOPLE HERE HELPFUL.
I also agree about the Curly Head. I did not like it and found it not a good cigar ( at least for me ). Although, I do like other AF smokes. Hell, can't a person be curious about stuff anymore instead of just accepting by rote the beliefs of masses. Also, that would be like saying Vox Americana Vox Populi....sheesh. Thompsons has some real issues. It is up to them to fix that, not me.

In the words of Monty Python..."This Parrot is Dead....NO, no, it is merely sleeping!"

Why don't you just ask me or Al Remp.

Call me Monday at 813-884-6344 x645.

Our prices on national brands - manufacturer retail suggested pricing.
End of story.

Customer service - Excellent. If you don't want to receive specials by
email or phone, let me know and I can help.

Quality - Our house brands are of excellent quality. If you smoke a $1
cigar from us, but you normally smoke a $5 cigar, you might not like
it. We have an excellent variety of cigars to sample. Everyone has
different tastes.

hey Greg,

nice post. I kind of like it when a vendor steps up in a non-confrontational manner and say "let me help you".

I agree, we may not like Thompson's cigars but somebody is buying them, that's how I ended up here. I'm glad that we have a rep from Thompson's here that isn't afraid to step up and help.

Exactly my point...that's why I try to jump in during these conversations. Every cigar on our website or in our catalog has buyers somewhere. Our house brands are made by internationally recognized Master Blenders from all over the world, mostly though, the Dominican Republic.
