Re: Are OpusX smokes worth the price?

I think preferences will vary. I just bought two recently. Figured why not try it out? I always equate prices to #1 value meals at McDonalds. Figure I wasted my cash on 3 Big Mac meals in the past, so why trip over $12-$15 bucks?

If you have the spare cash, why not? What is the worst that can come from it? At least you will have tried it.

Re: Are OpusX smokes worth the price?

I would go for it if you can get one close to MSRP, or a little above. I wouldn't buy more than one or two though. They are definitely worth the money to try it. That way you can know what all of the hype is about, and be able to tell if it is deserved hype or not. Some people just rave about 'em, some could care less. I personally think that they are distinct, but they are not the best. It is worth it to smoke something different. My first one was an experience for sure.

If you decide to go with it, let it rest for a long time and make sure you have a belly full of food.

I don't care for them. I would suggest a Padron Anny or '26 series for the $$$.

Definatly worth a try.... I suggest setting aside more than 45 minutes, have a nice beverage, relax, and really enjoy for yourself.

Re: Are OpusX smokes worth the price?

Thats how I look at it. If I go out and get a drink I will probably pay more then $4. That drink will last me about 15 minutes. However, I could spend the same or a little more and get a cigar that will last me over and hour.

Re: Are OpusX smokes worth the price?

These are definately one of the top non Cuban cigars.

Are they worth the price ??? If you are buying them at MSRP yes they are. They are a well made and good tasting cigar. But to pay some of the prices I see on the internet, that makes them not worth it in that case.

I have been fortunate enough to pick them up for msrp and ,IMO, they are definately worth the money. The Double Coronas are a nice, long, and memorable smoke.

I havent smoked anything yet that has taken me more than 45 minutes. Even the bigger smokes, I get through them in 30-45 minutes. I smoke too fast maybe?

Re: Are OpusX smokes worth the price?

My view on Opus is this, most of them right out of the box are not very good. Really harsh and burn hot. Not all of them, but most. Older Opus were good fresh from the box but the last few years they have not been.

Worth the price, yes but again I will not smoke some sizes without a year on it. One thing that I know for sure, it is the best looking cigar band on the planet for what that is worth to you. Good bands to collect.

Possibly, there are cigars you puff and get them over with. But, the better cigars, well they are a smoke, you take your time, you relax, sit back and enjoy them. It usually takes me at least 35-45 minutes to smoke a Short Story. I had a Perdomo Estate Seleccion Monstro (6.5X 54-60) last night that I got in a trade (thanks ResISPA wonderful smoke) It took me around an hour and a half to finish and it didn't got out once.

Well I enjoy every cigar i smoke. I smoke usually 1 a day, and I do it if and only if I have the time to sit back, start up a conversation with some friends, or watch a movie or something.

I never smoke when I have anything to do within the next few hours.
