Opinions Please:

I picked up 2 boxes of Hamiltons House Double Corona. MSRP is a whopping $156.95 (if you want to pay that, we can also take about some waterfront property I have) Famous Smoke Shop sells them for $67.95. I paid $19.95 per box. So, any opinions on this smoke?

I'm going to go out on a limb here and with all the confidence of cheerful ignorance say those cigars probably totally suck and you'll wish you hadn't wasted your money.

Re: Opinions Please:

I smoked a Hamilton House late one night. It actually was a very flavorful smoke and I really did enjoy it. Don't know which Hamilton it was - got it gifted/freebie or something.
Only problem I had with it was that it canoed (sic) right from the start and kept on right up until the end - and I nubbed it.

I know nothing about these sticks, but in my liquor cabinet I have a bottle of rum (can't remember the name) with a Hamilton House cigar inside of it. It was given to me probably eight years ago.

Now I like rum and cigars but, that is strange... is the cigar in a tube.

Re: Opinions Please:

I have seen them over at Famous smoke, but have never had one. The write up is interesting though. They are a George Hamilton stick from when he dabbled in the business. He has since evidently gotten out of the business and they are unloading them.

Yup. It looks similar to this, but the bottle is fatter and shorter.

Re: Opinions Please:

That looks interesting, but do you have to finish the booze before you can smoke the cigar. Oh, well I will buy mine ala carte

The one I have has a wax plug on the bottom of the bottle that would allow you to take out the cigar.

Re: Opinions Please:

Well; I got the 2 boxes home today and instead of putting them both away I cracked one open. Figured I would do a taste test. To be honest they are not a bad cigar, they are not worth the $68.00 that Famous sells them for, maybe with a little rest they will age better. But, for the price I paid they are excellent.

Re: Opinions Please:

Seen them, thought of them. and figured they're no great shakes unless they come with a bottle of sunscreen.

Wasn't this one of those "90s Blends"???
