Reminder Check your Stix

Just a friendly reminder with the Crazy temps across the nation that a check of your cigars might be in order. The beetles usually like to hatch at over 75 or so. I remember reading once a month your supposed to but I only do in the summer months.

You could do the preventitive freeze thing too.

or you could (like I will do eventually) get a wine refridgerator and rig it up as a temp controlled humi.

Yep - so here I am sitting here vac packing all my smokes. Somebody - can't remember in what thread - posted about the Rival Food Saver. So after getting paranoid - went out and bought one. Got everything all sealed up - in the morning I will toss out a lot of that yucky food the wife has and pack up the freezer with everything.
Guess I'm going to start doing the freeze deal when I first get them in.

Now I have never had any beetles (that I know of) - but this is the first year that I have been buying in the summer. Didn't do it before, not because I was afraid of beetles - just buying habits. In the summers I'm normally busy and have good stock layed in during the boring winters -

So we will see - but at least that's one less thing to worry about.
