Funny story....

Ok, so I rent cars for a living.. and I have quite a few regular customers, and every one of them knows that I am cigar smoker. I was outside doing some stuff, and one of my regulars, a crotchety old black dude (His friends call him Smitty) comes up and says "You're a cigar smoker right?" I say, yep, sure am, and he proceeds to pull a cigar out of his shirt pocket and hand it to me... Had cello wrapped around it... And said, you gotta try this.. its a really good cigar....

So I say: "Thanks Smitty, I'll give it a shot" He then leaves me, and I pull the cigar out of my pocket for closer inspection, and its no other than a "Maduro" (Looked majorly Dyed) PHILLIES

Im wondering if I should attempt to smoke it in the morning, and give a review?

In my experience, Phillies taste like straight as I'm sure you know. However, they do smell nice before they're lit . Funny story! I guess gestures of kindness should always be appreciated. Smoke it and give us a review! Which of the delicious flavors is it? Strawberry? Cognac? Peach? Enjoy.

Light that baby up! Then bring in a decent stick and give it to that same guy. No matter what kind of 'gar it is, that's pretty nice of the guy.

Re: Funny story....

I got started on Phillies and Swishas back in November or so. Then went to real stuff in February or March this year.

Two weeks ago I decided I was gonna try a Philly Chocolate out again (used to be my favourite "cigar") to see how my taste had changed. I smoked about an inch and a half of it before putting it out. Smells like cheap good chocolate, but tasted like I was smoking tissue paper.

Go on-take one for the team! Still, nice thing for him to do-perhaps you should introduce him to premiums??

Re: Funny story....

I'd say smoke it. The guy has paid enough attention to know that you like cigars. It was a nice gesture of friendship on his part. Smoke up, write a review, and give him something you like as a return gesture.
