Question Stocking a large humidor

I just bought a 300 cigar humidor on ebay for $38 including shipping but I don't have the funds to stock it with grade-A 'gars. Anyone have suggestions for cheap bundles? I've been thinking about ordering a couple mystery bags from bestpricecigars.com, 25 smokes for $20, anyone have any feelings on grab bags?

Re: Stocking a large humidor

Welcome to CS ... wonderful first post.

Okay ... I've had a martini ... If you're like the rest of us ... it will only take a couple of weeks to fill it up ... check the devil site... http://www.cigarbid.com/auction/index.cfm. Sorry, that wasn't nice ... legit but it will fill up your humi and drain your wallet in a hurry.

Everybody else is being so helpful and I'm just being an asshat ... forgive me. Believe it or not, there are some really good bundled cigars out here.

La Vieja Havana by Drew Estate are decent inexpensive cigars.

Cedar Chateaus can be had ~$22 for a box. Problem is, you have to find them in stock!

Welcome to Club Stogie !

Fill it with what you like and take your time.

This hobby is meant to be enjoyed not rushed.

But you could try Cbid or Famous for some good bargains.

I thought you said you bought a large humidor?

I stay away from grab bags - I like to know what I'm getting. So stick with the adivce given.

Side Note: Seeing how you spend part of your time in Ashburn - Welcome to CS from another NOVA resident. Keep an eye out on the "Herf" forum - we just had one last week and planning on another in September -

I should add that like Qwerty said, (kind of) great smokes don't cost alot of money. And I did say "great". You WILL start down that slope sooner then you think, then it's everyman for himself(except in the jungle).Have Fun!

Thanks for the info and the invite, but I'm headed back to school in a couple weeks so I won't be able to make the herf, maybe over the winter.

Re: Stocking a large humidor

I just bought 3 bundles of Connie #9's at JR's. 75 sticks for for $66. Since I went to the store, had to pay sales tax. Ended up paying $70. That is a deal for a decent smoke, imo.

Don't go for the mystery bag. You might get an Acid.

Yeah...probably one of the best ~$1 (and some change) cigars you can buy!

They are nothing to brag about, but for a buck, you can't beat it!
