It seems there are a lot of young guys on this message board. I am 42 but when I was in college I don't recall a lot of cigar smokers. It seems most ppl from my generation pick up cigar smoking later in life. Perhaps because it is an expensive hobby and they couldnt afford it when they were younger.

How old is everyone here?

I am 27, and will be 28 this september. I did not smoke cigars in college, but spent my money on cheap crappy beer and other plants that could be smoked. I dont think I had my first cigar until after I had graduated.

I'm 25 (in grad school) yeah your right I can't afford it..but I get by. Some Gorillas have made it a hell of a lot more do-able for me and I sincerely appreciate it. I'm a hunter/fisherman....and Love doing outdoor activities, and love relaxing at the end of the day....whats more relaxing than a fat cigar..and a fire.....thats my story.

I'm 30 and have been smoking cigars on and off probrably since I was 19 or 20. This has been one stick a month at times to a full 6 months without a stick. It's been more routine the last year and my spending and collecting has been kicked in high gear since joining here back in January.

Yeah - that works for me as well.

I don't recall much cigar smoking when I was in college either, though I remember ashtrays in the classroom and teachers puffing on cigarettes while giving lectures. Nobody gave much thought to lighting up in the classroom.

I've smoked cigars off and on since I was around 17 or so, but didn't get serious until I was in my thirties.

I finally gave up my half a pack a day cigarette habit earlier this year. The cigars provide a welcome break now when I get an urge for a smoke.

20...soon to be 21...and a junior in college as well. I started smoking nice cigars a year ago. To afford it, I just try to keep my buying to a minimum. I got a small stash that I let age and dont smoke all that many a week. Maybe 2-3 at most. Good thread.
