Should I be upset with CigarBid?

I won a 5 Vegas sampler from the devil site. It was 9 cigars for $19.

I was supposed to get (3) Gold, (3) Series "A", and (3) Limitada 2005.

But, instead it came with (2) Gold, (2) Series "A", (2) Limitada 05, and (3) "Classic".

Now, I understand that substitutions happen, and I do like the "Classics". But the "classics" are not as good as the Golds and Limitadas, in my opinion. And, really, it's that third Limitada that has me bummed out. I really love those things.

So, what does everyone think? Should I complain about the substitutions, or just light up and get over it?

If it is clearly stated that they may substitute, then just light up and move on. Or if you really don't want want they sent you then you could call them and ask to return the order or just mail them to me.

It all depends on what you will "settle" for. If you only want the 3x3 that you bid on, then call them up & see what they can do. If you are good with what you got, let it ride.

I forget if the agreement between the end-user and CigarBid allows for substitutions without any way to fight it. Seems as if you like the `05s, so why not call them up and ask.

Ultimately, your choice. or ????

If I were you I would prolly try to get them to make it right with some smokes...They are CI right?...big company.....But thats me and my

Go back and read the text for what you bid on. Sometimes it does state that a sub may be made. I have had subs made twice - but both times they asked me.

I would send them an email letting them know that you are less than happy as your target in the bid was the Limitada - but do be polite when you do. It simply may have been a mistake - who knows at this point. A ton of cigars move through those doors so there has to be an error factor in there somewhere.

They replaced them which isn't the real issue. The fact that they used cigars that aren't really of the same calibre is what you should take issue with. I have dealt with their customer support via the website and found them to be pretty accomidating, so its worth a shot asking. Maybe there is a cigar of similar price/quality but a different brand they would let you swap out?

"S- Happens" meaning substitutions happen. At a buck for a good cigar let it go. If it really is a problem for you contact C-bid customer service. They will make you happy. They're by far the finest in the industry when it comes to satisfying customers. Let them do their job, you'll be more than satisfied.

No matter what CigarBid says in the fine print, it's improper to charge you for one item and then ship you something different without your direct consent. They can't disclaim responsibility for "bait and switch' by saying that you 'agreed' to it by terms of service. Call them, make them send you a return prepaid shipping label for the sampler and make them refund the entire purchase price, including shipping. You didn't get what you ordered and what you got was worth less than what you ordered. You don't have to put up with it.

Yup, substitutions happen... It says so on a lot of thier auctions.. I wouldnt be that upset, but thats just me.

if you're really not happy CI will probably try to make it right.

But Substitutions can and do happen. But I think you should just light up and move on...

First off, it's not an "order", it's an "auction with a disclaimer". Granted they might make it right and probably will, but they don't have to. He still got 9 pretty good smokes for $19.00.

Hmmm perhaps this explains why i recieved a 2 different cigars in a sampler from them that wasnt included in it. Althoug whatever they replaced it was with Gurkah Legend Series, so i wasnt complaining. Definitly shoot them an email and try and get it sorted out...demand padron annis to make up for their mistake!

Once the bid amount is accepted, the transaction is an order from a retailer.
I don't allow merchants to disclaim responsibility for sending me exactly what I've paid for.

I've gotten substitutions before from Cbid. As long as it seems a fairly equal sub, I don't mind. But if the two cigars are way off in MSRP and quality, I consider calling them up and registering my dissatisfaction to see what they are willing to do.
