Re: How long to wait
At least two weeks, but who knows what happened to those sticks before you got them? The darker the wrapper the longer they need to sit imho. If you really need a fix? go to your trusty B&M and purchase a few that you will be able to take home and smoke right away while you wait patiently for your favs to adjust to their new surroundings.

Quote:
Most of my cigars come from the U.S., and transit time is about a week, so half my cigars go in the humi for 3 weeks, the other half at the bottom to age a bit. SOmetimes they smoke well right out of the box, other times even after three weeks they still taste dry and needing of more humi time. |

Re: How long to wait
I usually smoke one right out of the box to see and then do what I feel I need to do. Onyx are bad to need a lot of time in the humi as are Partagas Black. The PB are usually great with a few months on them. I haven't found a Perdomo to my liking yet.

Re: How long to wait
I received a package on Saturday and it sat in the mailbox outside until Sunday afternoon in 105 degree heat. I fired one of the Bolivars last night and it smoked like a dream. Awesome cigar. No waiting for me.

Re: How long to wait
So what if you get a bomb? Same applies? Or maybe longer since they probably aren't shipped wet, instead at 62 to 70% depending on the bombers preferences?

Re: How long to wait
I had an issue like this with a Montecristo White i got in a sampler a few weeks ago. It was shipped too wet and i lit it up after a few days and it wouldnt burn right at all it kept tunnling and after relighting it three times it tasted like crap. But too dry sounds odd, usually they ship it too wet to make sure the cigars dont get too dry in transit...Its definitly possible tho...better let them sit for a little while before smokin the rest of em
