Casa Fuente

Here's the deal - I'm going up to Vegas middle of Sept., first time I've been up in years (my wife doesn't fully appreciate it & won't go, so I'm going with 2 buddies.)

I know that at Casa Fuente it is possible to purchase all the rare & wonderful smokes not available in most B&M's.

So I'm taking a poll: Seeing that this is a chance to buy anything in the Fuente line, what would you all do in this situation. I'm planning to splurge up to a point. So far I have my sights set on Anjeo's and BTL's.

What would y'all purchase, and does anybody know their prices on the rare items?

Thanks- Larry.

Re: Casa Fuente

Get a Forbidden X but be prepared to pay through the nose for it.

Also the store brand "Casa Fuente" isn't bad and thats the ONLY place you can buy them.

Re: Casa Fuente

I'd say get some collectible smokes. I think there is the Opus X Chile Pepper if I'm not mistaken. Buy it and put it at the top of the humi (if you have glass). This way you can always stare at the goodness.

Or just buy the cheapest smoke they have and stare at the help.

Re: Casa Fuente

Casa Fuente is way too expensive to stock up on rare Fuentes. I would buy a couple of Casa Fuente sticks for $18 and call it a day. The forbidden X can run as high as $225 each. Enjoy the ambiance, buy smokes elsewhere.

What OpusXOX said, Casa Fuente's at $18 per stick is better than all the Forbiddens at $75-$125 any day. Save your money and drink the $12 mojitos and stare at the waitresses!

Re: Casa Fuente

Anejos run about 25 bucks a piece at casa fuente (when I was there about 6 weeks ago they had 48, 49 and 50s, no 77's ). The opusX started around 25 bucks for a belicoso XXX and a Perfecxion #4 (the smaller vitolas) and went up from there (yes into the 100's). As someone else already mentioned, they also have the casa fuente line that is only suppose to be sold at the shop, however, I have seen them on cbid and at my local B&M (they bought a couple of boxes when they were in vegas to sell locally in the shop).

Personally, I might buy one or two cigars, sit there and drink as say you went to casa fuente. You can find most of the stuff they sell cheaper online if you really look. Most of the cigar places I checked out in vegas were way over-priced (davidoff in MGM, cigar shop in the Monte Carlo), I recommend bringing some smokes along with you. There is actually a cigar stand in the airport that has an awesome selection (padrons, opusX), however, I didn't get a chance to ask about price, I can only assume they are pretty expensive.

When you are in the Caesar's Palace mall, there is an italian restaurant named Bertolini's, the food is pretty good and they have fresh pasta, you might check it out if you are looking for somewhere to eat (it's not that expensive, medium priced for vegas).

Enjoy your trip, I love vegas. I am trying to convince the wife we need to go again, but so far I haven't had any luck.

Re: Casa Fuente

i got 2 b honest, i was there in march, and i saw the destino, and i was so close to buying it, but i didnt because it was 125.00. now i was i had bought it, because even though i can still get it, it feels like the one that got away lol,

while i was there i bought a Casa Fuente, VSG, Anejo, and a few opus x, but to tell you the truth, the casa fuente wasnt that great, but the others came in sizes i hadnt seen before so they were cool to try, the forbiddens i have had before but not the sizes that they had, and they were way to expensive

have a good tiime though

Re: Casa Fuente

Does Fuente justify the prices they charge here because they consider the place a bar? They are supposed to discourage gauging, but I can get OpusX cheaper in Hartford, CT then a store that they own part of. I don't get it.
