I have decided to smoke one of my booty (first ever winnings of cigars) cigars, the Emilio AF 2 BMF. From the size of this BMF it should last for most of the broadcast. I am guessing the price to be less than eight bucks, still, this is three bucks over what I usually spend on a splurge buy. I have budget restraints called Ol-What's-Her-Name.
Going to get the pre-light impressions out of the way now since I will be busy drinking during the game. The cigar has the look and color of a fine old gun leather. Seems to be a well put together cigar and has only a slight give when squeezed. From what I have read, this is a 6X58 (a little large for me) Oscuro wrapped Nicaraguan cigar with some Pennsylvanian ligero. The smell is of cocoa up front with a damp forest or woodsy background. There is a sometime smell of something fruity, kind of like when you get a whiff of some one drinking a dark wine but it is not always there.
This cigar was stored at just above 65% for about a week before being put in my 63% 'dor for a few days. It was not frozen since it was quarantined with the other booty cigars.
I will try to remember the rest of my experience with this cigar with no promises as to how prompt the review will be. The pairing of choice will be Chimay Grand Reserve, an ale I find filling enough that I will not be eating much during the game. Of course, before the game, I will be partaking of more than a few bites of fresh deep fried redfish caught yesterday!
GO GIANTS!!!
