The blend consists of Nicaraguan and Honduran Sun grown long filler, an Ecuadorian Binder encompassed with two very distinct wrappers, a Nicaraguan Sun Grown Habano wrapper and a Nicaraguan Sun Grown Maduro. Included in the selection below, we also have available in all sizes the Cuban box press production, both in Natural and Maduro. All of the Cuban Classic Cigars come in boxes of 20.

The interesting thing is that a buddy brought them from Florida. Is this a major company and why do they use the Cuban Flag on their bands??

Re: Cuban Classics Vintage Reserve?

Couple of Pics of this Nicaraguan Cigar. It was Torpedo. Smoked really well, good draw, nice white ash. Nutty and mellow. A buddy 9.75 per stick and they are able to be bought in USA at 5.50 a stick. Marketing is a disappointment as was the high price tag a friend paid. All brothers beware of fakes and anything saying Cuba on it. FWIW. The stick was a good stick for what it was. Sorry the Pics were taken on a camera phone.

Re: Cuban Classics Vintage Reserve?

They're not claiming to be Cuban. The filler is listed as Nicaraguan & Honduran. So, they may well be fake, but fake what?

Re: Cuban Classics Vintage Reserve?

Perhaps I am just slow,

But does the original poster think that these were cuban in any fashion whatsoever?

If not, then I am at a loss...

DId you add that you are upset that they aren't cuban despite the ban saying cuba or having a flag or something?

I don't get it..

Perhaps the original poster is not as intuned to cubans as you might be. Part of hanging in the jungle is asking questions, whil emaybe deamed juvenile to others, you might not know the answer to.

So in response, I believe he was more confused about the advertising than anything else.

Bingo! not only that the Marketing is the flag of Cuba on a Nicaraguan cigar. No I am not astute about cubans. Also, said it was a gift from a friend who went to the Bahamas and paid twice as much for it. It is listed on the website as half that.

I am just pointing out for others the lengths some will go to claim Cuban Origin...and charge large prices. The consumer gets hoodwinked into what they thought was something real.

The fellow BOTL are great in the jungle here....As to stupidity...nah, I ain't got much sense...but never claimed to know as much as some. I do know a little about cigars and their history. I might even know what a few of the real cubans are about...maybe just a little.

Thanks for the comments on the thread...I never claimed they were cuban....The question was did anyone know about them....
Actually they were not a bad Nic...

I took this to mean that you were wondering if they were fake cubans or not.

Please do no think I was trying to insult you or be some smartass. I just couldn't figure out what your questions were in regards to, and why it was in the Habanos Review section. I see now what you were getting at and I am truly glad you got your questions answered.

I am also pleased that you enjoyed this cigar.

I would also suggest that your friend take his ouwn cigars to the Islands the next time he goes. THat way he can avoid paying through the nose for non-cuban cigars that are most likely available here.

Again, no offense intended...

Re: Cuban Classics Vintage Reserve?

Bob - You are a sly fox - you knew the deal all along, of course. Your post sparked an interesting debate.
What I get out of this is that there is a problem here with deceptive advertising. These cigars are being called Classic Cubans, and they are no such thing. There are doubtless many impulse buyers out there who will not bother to read the fine print, and buy these thinking they are getting the real deal... Larry.
