Company pulls off a perfect party

This afternoon I was sitting at my desk dreading the company party scheduled for the evening where the theme was being kept a 'secret', the only thing that was keeping me going was the fact that I had a nice tubo tucked in my bag ready to fire up after dinner.

Imagine my shock when walking in to find a Cuban theme evening with dancing, great drinks and two Habanos cigar rollers doing there stuff at one side of the room.

My company pulled off a massive coup with this one, people flocked to the table of the rollers all night to watch them at work and a few of us got to roll our own.

At some point tomorrow I will post some pictures of the event as there were plenty taken of the rollers and I will grab a photo of my own rolling attempt which turned out pretty well though a little loose! All I can say is that rolling is a hell of a lot harder than it looks.

I hate when I have to go to one of the vendor partys. However once I get there and start to mingle I usually have agood time.

Let me 1st by saying as an IT guy sometimes I don't get out of my techi box at work sometimes. But if I did and attended the event that you had privy to I must say I would have quit my day job and become a cigar roller right ther on the spot!

I would've begged for them to adopt me into their culture and married one of the female cigar rollers!

The smokes they rolled during the night were available for smoking, I had a few puffs off a pass around and they had a typical Cuban flavour but they were very raw.

So I managed to obtain a few nicely aged Cohiba Lanceros from their humidor



I was also privileged to be able to take a go at rolling my own...





And while this cigar turned out looking quite nice (I will post a picture when I get home), I've been informed that it may be a little too loose to smoke.
