Welcome to the jungle. I have never tired those but the Casa Torano is a very nice mild to medium cigar.

Re: what are your favorite mild to medium streanght stogie?

I would check out the reviews section and top25cigar to get a more complete list than just replies to this thread.

With that being said, some of my favorite mild-medium smokes are:

CAO Gold and MX2 - Italia too but it is more medium
Carlos Torano Casa Torano
Rocky Patel Connecticut/Vintage Connecticut and Edge Light
RomeoYJulieta 1875
La Aurora (not the cien anos or 1495)
Carlos Torano 1916 Cameroon
Helix Maduro
Cabuigian (spelling?)

You can also tweak the strength a bit based on length and ring gauge but only very slightly. They say Macanudos are decent mild smokes, but I can not bring myself to try them. When I first started smoking, I thought Ashton Classics were great mild smoke but any more I can not taste them.

I highly recommend Gispert, very tasty and very well priced. Posted a review of the churchill here. I typically smoke fuller bodied sticks so I can't offer much advice but I would stay away from the Macs.

I echo what NCradioman said.. and I would add, anything Torano is a great smoke, and well as CAO, but you gotta watch out.. some of them are stronger than you'd want.

I really enjoy the Hoyo De Monterrey Excalibur (pick your size) when I'm in the mood for a mild smoke. The price is right as well and cosistancy in my opinion is excellent.

Re: what are your favorite mild to medium streanght stogie?

I like a Casa Torano when I want a med/mild stick. I've just found the 5 Vegas 'A' and sampled one tonight. That was a pretty creamy medium bodied stick as well. For something you can gnaw on a bit and still get a nice bit of taste, I recommend a Torano "The Brick" - inexpensive @ $2.00 ea. w/a Sumatra wrapper that is square pressed. I like 'em!

Dominican Romeo y Julieta Vintage. I'm usually looking for aroma rather than flavor in mild cigars, and this one has aroma to spare. A bit pricey though. On the bargain end, Felipe Dominicana or Gispert. Those Felipes are awful right off the truck, but let them settle a few weeks and they're not bad for the buck, especially from the site whose name must not be uttered.

Good suggestions above. My additions:

5 Vegas - Gold
Havana Sungrown - Alec Bradley

... and I really don't consider the Indian Tabac Super Fuerte too bold to push it out of this category.

I would agree with the 5 Vegas Gold. They are great smokes. I have a few left from a box I bought off of cbid a few months ago. Its a great smoke to give to people who want something light. I would also check out the Cusano 18.

As a noob I was recommended a Mac by the shop guy at my B & M. It was a diplomat maduro. Really a pretty decent little smoke, and mild. Macs tend to be overpriced since they are more well known though.

Re: what are your favorite mild to medium streanght stogie?

When I first started to smoke stogies playboy by don diego and Dunhill Peravia were my favs. As my pallate progressed these didn't have enough complexity to keep me interested.

Now if I'm in the mood for a mild cigar I reach for a Rocky Patel Conneticut, Sun Grown or an Indian Tobac Limited Reserve.

I had a Le Veja Habana Chateaux #3 last night that was a great cigar/great value and that was nice mild and creamy the whole way through with a perfect burn.
