Victor Sinclair Opinions????

Should I go for it or. Don't know anything about them......

Hello Cigars International Customers!

Victor Sinclair Serie '55' & Bohemian
Mega-Sampler, Box of 20
a glorious 20-cigar medley,
only $37.50 (MSRP: $134)
Offer good until Thursday, August 31st, 9AM ET

Jose Dominguez of Victor Sinclair often flies under the radar, the result of his quiet, workaday dedication to crafting yummy handmades rather than generating slick ads and trendy packaging. But the dirty secret is that his portfolio of blends includes a number of genuine super-premiums: namely Bohemian, Series '55' and Primeros. Each in its own way is a beautifully crafted stick delivering a bouquet of smooth, balanced and satisfying flavors. The Series '55' in particular offers ample complexity, thanks to tobaccos hailing from 5 different countries which generate a wealth of bold yet refined flavors, flavors that continually change as it burns.

I'm gonna make you a deal you can't refuse... and wouldn't want to. Normally these blends sport price tags upwards of $6-$8 per stick. CI being a company of the people, for the people and by the people, I've decided to unleash a crazy deal with a nutty one-time introductory price that will make grown men weep: $37.50 per box, this week only.

This Mega-Sampler box of 20 showcases four each of five top blends, all in a densely packed
6" x 50 Toro size....and it's all yours for an unheard of 72% off retail. $37.50 means less than 2 bucks per stick! You can thank me later.

Here's what's inside:

4 - Serie '55' Corojo Toro: the top-selling '55' blend. Very complex and slowly builds in strength featuring a 5-country blend aged 5 years (hence the '55' designation).

4 - Serie '55' Oscuro Toro: robust, rich and slightly sweet, yet mild in strength. 5-country blend, aged 5 years.

4 - Bohemian Black (Oscuro) Toro: bold in flavor but smooth and mellow, with a pleasant sweetness. 4-country blend.

4 - Bohemian Red (Corojo) Toro: the top-selling Bohemian blend. Loaded with toasty, chewy flavors, delivering a robust finish. 4-country blend.

4 - Primeros Toro: mild, creamy and smooth as silk. Built for everyday enjoyment. Flawless, golden-brown Connecticut shade wrapper.

20 unique super premiums, all Toro sizes, $37.50.

Useful lad, useful.

Re: Victor Sinclair Opinions????

I looked at that too, but didn't know anything about them. Reviews on top25 aren't bad.

I tried the VS Vintage, 5-pack from Cbid. I liked it, but it was very box pressed. It was like smoking a chocolate/caramel bar, tasty. Doesn't do you a lot of good for the ones you're considering, sorry.

Don't know much about the others. I have a dozen of the corojos in my coolidor, aging. I actually have found these to be smooth, and quite tasty, especially with a little age on them. The Bohemian (black) that I have handled would dye your hands black, so I imagine the "black" is dye induced. I have never seen a cigar with natural tobacco that black.

I will say that I have no idea at all what a "chewy flavor" is!!

Try what you want, make your own mind up about the sticks. There are a lot of sticks I have tried that have had bad reviews that I found to be decent. Some were real dogs! But, I have also found many highly praised sticks to be no better than average (but few dogs). I'm not afraid to try a cigar that has been panned. Heck, I have even smoked most of a Cremosa in the past.

I got the email from CI also, but passed, because the "red lable" was the only one I know about for sure, and I can often buy 20 of them on cibd for less than what the sampler would cost me.

Good luck, and good hunting.

Re: Victor Sinclair Opinions????

My local B&M was running a special, buy 2 get one free of the Primeros. I smoked one, horrible. It tasted like wet cardboard. Gave one to a drunk friend, who didn't care and I threw the last one out...

Re: Victor Sinclair Opinions????

I sprung for CI's offer on the VS's so maybe I will end up with 20 tree spikes on my hands. I think when CI puts this stuff out as a special and touts a MSRP of $100+ people are suppose to go wow!! I think they have these things normally offered on the CI site for something like $59.95. I checked out a few reviews on Top 25 Cigars and read both the good the bad and the ugly and decided I would take a chance. If I got hosed so be it but I've also liked a few things that the majority of others have considered dog rockets. Maybe I will luck out again.

Re: Victor Sinclair Opinions????

One of the first cigars to catch my taste buds was a VS Corojo. The 55s are not terrible or anything but the ones I've tried didn't have the flavor of their regular line, IMO. The MSRP is inflated (not that that is unexpected). I've moved onto other sticks since I started. I've been thinking about breaking out one of my VSs, but every time I think about it, my hand falls on something else. I might pick up a fiver before I pulled the trigger on a bigger lot.
