If your an experienced ISOM smoker you'll prolly find it one dimentional and not all too exciting, but i like the brand as a non-isom smoker myself.

CAO L'Anniversaire are IMHO, a very good cigar. Every CAO I've smoked has benefited from 3-6 months+ in the hopper, especially the CAO criollos, which came downright harsh (tossed the first one in anger at the indian casino)! Now almost a year later the criollos are a mild enjoyable smoke. It sounds nutty (they taste nutty) but it is so! Since I do not know if you have the eXtreme, Maduro or the Cameroon, I'll just say which L'Anniversaire I find disappearing the most, Cameroon, it is a very good cigar that has a kinda creamy quality with just a little bite. But like I say, I've had a few boxes of all three, all three will greatly improve untouched for at least 3 months.

The Brazilias KickAss!. Don't even get me started. Never been w/o Brazilias since I've tried them....I go into a little panic when I'm down to only 2 boxes. rns

Ryan is correcto, competing with Cuba is kinda like Black Sabbath vs. Brittney Spears.

I find the CAO anniv'y to be medium body at best.
Nice flavor, lots of soft smoke...
JUST NO KICK!
Especially if you like Cubans.
If I was a school teacher I would give it a C+.
But I am a tough grader.

I like the Cameroon in the toro size. They are flat as heck but plump a little as you go along--kind of like a ballpark frank.

About half of what I smoke are ISOM's, but the L'Anniversaire Robusto is still one of my favorites. Lots of deep flavor, strength (0f course nothing close to a Habano RA or Boli), and good balance. Not bad for a domestic.

I have tried many of these, and I have not been overly impressed with the flavor. I usually smoke VSG's and the like.

Thanks guys for the comments. Intersted to read about the shape of this cigar. It is flat almost a rectangle and very hard tightly wrapped. Have to take the plunge and give it a try..let you all know later what I think.
