Feel for you, I think almost everyone has gotten burned at least once by Thompson's. I agree cut your losses and if you are going to order online make it JR's, Holts, CI or one of the other reputible dealers around.

"It's funny that they will not UPS to Washington State so I had to wait almost a month to receive them, but, low and behold, the only way I could send them back to Thompson was by UPS."

Washington State had a order to cease and desist internet sales of cigarettes and tobacco products to minors in Dec of 2005. I know that JR cannot use UPS when shipping to Washington State and when talking to a Rep at Famous they said the same thing but thought UPS might soon reverse that policy. Their is nothing that I could find on UPS's website about excluding Washington State, only Montana & Maine were listed. I know DHL delivers to the State.

I thought that I was pretty well prepared to taste and review cigars. Hell... I've tasted a lot of stuff in my life that will probably give me a good frame of reference for reviewing and describing. You know...really normal tatses that we all know... leather... wood... cedar... earth... 7-year-old burnt Madagascar vanilla. Stuff we put in our mouths often.

But CAT TURDS? Oh well... anything for the cause... as long as it'll make my cigars taste better!

Here kitty-kitty...

Have to retract my post...Washington resident and I just received an e-mail from CI about a current order and it is being shipped "ground" UPS.
