My First Rocky Patel...

Just smoked my first Rocky Patel - Vintage 1992 "A." A very good smoke indeed. Smoothe with a medium body and amazing flavor! I will definitely go back and pick up a few more in my preferred Robusto style/size. Hope they are as good! As I try the many different NC's out there, I can sort of understand why some folks could care less about the cubanos once they've found a few NC's they really love. My favorite cubano (HDM Epi. No. 2) is a hard smoke to beat, but I'm slowly finding some NC's that can at least compete - and the Rocky Patel I highly recommend!

ps: Not all cubanos are great either. I got some Cohiba Siglo II that I didn't care for at all. Just my two !

Get the 90's. I like them even better than the 92's

Give the RP Sungrown a try. I, personally, like it better than the Vintage.

Re: My First Rocky Patel...

RP makes great stuff.. I got to have an Olde World Reserve today, thanks to Mr. Maduro. It was a good cigar.. Not worth the price they are commanding, even online, but still, a decent cigar. I am a patelian.

Re: My First Rocky Patel...

Don't smoke many CC's actually only have had the chance to have 2, both BBF, wich i must admit were very good smokes... but I think I've made it pretty clear over my short time here at CS that I am a huge fan of RP, and the 92s are great, but pick up a couple 90 robustos. Honestly I'm a big robusto fan, and I personally think they are the best reasonably priced NC cigar out there. Lots of flavor, without the killer bite, smooth, incredibly well constructed, totally can't be beat. I finally picked up a few olde world reserve, which are sitting in my humidor right now... Can't wait to light one up, maybe tomorrow.

I also prefer the 90 to the 92, but if I've got either between my index and middle finger, I'm happy.

I told ya there's some great NC's out there. The Sungrown is the only RP I've smoked and I highly recommend it.

Re: My First Rocky Patel...

I have two 90's in my humi, can't wait to light em up.

But I would also recommend the sungrowns. I've had a sungrown PC. MMMM good stick! Smooth with a nice bit of spicy in there as well!

Re: My First Rocky Patel...

I went to CI's retail store recently and picked up a bundle of RP Vintage 1990 seconds for in Robusto and for the money they are a great smoke. Packed tight and last quite awhile. 15 for $39.95 was a smokin deal.
