Re: Sharing Your Stogies

Normally when i go to a cigar friendly area i have my otterbox with me. I always try to have 1 or 2 extras just in case.

Its not very often that i run into someone i think would really apreciate one of my smokes, but i always try to bring on just in case.

I work hard to be able to buy cigars. Give them away? Fthat. Buy your own and we can smoke together.

Seriously, one of the best things about our hobby/obsession is sharing the experience with others. This board facilitates that and helps us meet others. However, there is no substitute for getting together and sharing a good cigar with a friend who appreciates it.

Re: Sharing Your Stogies

I try to take at least 5 cigars with me everywhere I go (If I am planning on smoking) in case someone would like one.

I have to agree with most of the gorillas on here, sharing is one of the best parts of this great hobby.

Re: Sharing Your Stogies

Last time I joined up with friends we made it through 7 of the 10 I brought with me. We had a real time review herf. Nothing better in my opinion. Well, maybe more gorillas and more cigars...

Re: Sharing Your Stogies

Depending on where I am going I always have a cople of smokes to share. When I go to a Parrot head event I make sure to bring plenty. I usually gift a few out to people I know will enjoy them, then there are the cheapo bundles for those who don't know any better. I have one friend who is also a cigar buddy and we usually wind up smoking each others cigars. Next weekend for the three day Parrot head event in Ocean City MD I will probably take at least 30 cigars and I won't be smoking 10 a day. Although, some friends of Freddy's are one of the bands... hmmmm

I always bring extra's, because nothing I love more that making a cigar smoking friend. It's a guess of course how many to bring.

Re: Sharing Your Stogies

I only have a couple of friends (locally) who enjoy cigars. I always bring an extra or two of what I'm currently smoking for them. Both of them have also shared with me.
I have also introduced 4 or 5 friends to good cigars but they have not yet made the leap from cigarettes to good tobacco . I live in hope...

Re: Sharing Your Stogies

Yeah i always find its a good idea to keep a few with you. i always use the rule-take double the number you take for yourself for others and out of that make half good ones [for smokers] and half dog rockets for those non smokers you may meet.

Re: Sharing Your Stogies

I try to bring an extra or two with me when I golf, go to a cook-out, or other (to me) obvious cigar smoking settings. I don't think you should feel bad though if you don't have a cigar to give to someone you don't expect to see.
