B&M Poll

What's the biggest, funnest, most impulsive & extravagent purchase y'all have made at a B&M?
I know I do better pricewise online, but it's more fun to go to a local shop & go a little nuts.

My 2 recent splurges have been:
A box of Anejo #55's for $325. - Good price, couldn't get a box any other way
About 14 assorted RP's including Olde World mad. Again, have trouble locating these online also.

But the real reason is it's so fun.

Time to 'fess up guys. Tell us what you haven't told the wifey.

Waiting to hear from Mr. Mad, Poriggity, all you jungle dwellers ...

And HAPPY LABOR DAY WEEKEND!!! Larry.

Re: B&M Poll

I dont really have a local B&M but my biggest purchase at any one was 4 boxes of RyJ EL2004 Hermosos No2 but these werent a big purchase tbh. MSRP $250-$300 [or $700] in the UK, i got them for $120 each. Big enough purchase for me though!

Ha- I think it consisted of 6 cigars for 25 bucks or something.

I am in there every week is the problem.

No big purchases here, I'm always diggin in my pockets only to find pocket lint!

Re: B&M Poll

Well, I had just finished buying a few favorites mostly AF's and after I checked out I asked the owner how often he got Opus in stock, he told me every two to three months. Asked if I liked Opus I said yes, and he told me well then you really need to try these and showed me LG's well, I have never spent that much for a cigar I never heard of before or tasted but I bought a pair, and boy am I glad I did.

I'm like the other guy who said he's in there about every week. I ordered some Drew Estate Subculture cigars (Dark Angek, Green Hero) from an online shop in NY. That's about it!

I generally don't have several hundred dollars to splurge with but, whenever I get more than I intended to I figure that is over the top. Case in point, I posted a thread last night about my trip after work to my B&M. Hehe, I got some nice sticks but, I went in for a few of something else.

O.K. O.K. Just for the record, I am not in the habit of several hundred $ splurges either - The Anejos were the exception.
For me a good splurge would be $80 - $100, but just on occasion.
I look forward to those occasions though.

Anybody else want to fess up? I know you're out there... This is all strictly confidential.

Re: B&M Poll

For me it all depends on what they have in stock . If I walk in and they have AF Anejos , I'll buy as many as they will sell to me , only happend twice and the first time I didn't know any better so I only bought 5 -#55's . But yesterday I was at Holt's and paid $65 for 4 cigars , a little crazy but they are all hard to get smokes . Nice thread idea here , puffnmo .

Check Montfort cigars about a block off of 635 and 2 blocks from the Galleria mall. They have very cheap prices for a B&M.
