Thanks for helping ease my mind Baric. I was going to start drinkin heavy. Now I can wait until the clambake at 3:00 to start

Looks like a nice humidor! Fill her up and let us know how many it really holds.

Re: New Humidor from Ebay

i got the exact same humi bout a month ago. it definately won't be what u expect. the "glass" is actually plastic and i don't think its all that airtight. the humidifiers it comes with are too small and 300 smokes is a long stretch. all in all, for 50 bucks i guess i can't complain too much more. good for storage i suppose. good luck

Re: New Humidor from Ebay

make sure you ask questions. i mean if you plan on storing some high end smokes please oh please spend the money on a decent humi. ebay does have some good stuff like i said before but i would deffinitly consider spending some money on a good humi

Congrats on your purchase. Looks like you got a pretty good deal.

Re: New Humidor from Ebay

I recently bought a 150 ct and then a 300 ct from the same company on ebay. They look great but are tiny. They maybe hold 1/3 of the stated capacity. I have about 450 Cigars and after filling these humis up, still had over 250 without a home. Had to go and construct a couple coolerdor's which work fine. So the price is right, but just don't expect anywhere near their stated capacity.

Re: New Humidor from Ebay

i had bought this humi from a local B & M and found out the same thing that it was not cedar lined, just a pinewood box mini-coffin. Lucky i was able to return it for a refund.

I got it 2 days ago. It might hold 300 cigarettes J/K. It'll be fine for awhile.

Is it safe to assume they make their money on the S&H fees?

Re: New Humidor from Ebay

sure but I didn't even give $40 for it and it's worth every penny. It holds the humidity well.

Re: New Humidor from Ebay

My roomate bought a $9.99 special on ebay as well. He was kinda pissed that the glass was plastic, but after a quick seasoning it seems to be holding at 70rh. I suggested that he buy a digital hygro just incase his analog is whack. I also insisted he get some beads, but he doesn't want to buy anything online anymore and the local B&Ms are too old school for beads lol. Anyways, good luck stocking it, my humi will be here on tuesday !!!

Re: New Humidor from Ebay

As long as it holds RH, thats all that REALLY matters. That being said, if I bought a humi on ebay that was supposed to be a "glass" top, I'd be pretty pissed to find out its plastic.
