As spicey if not more so, depending on if you smoke the corojo or the maduro; the corojo is spicier. The taste is unlike the sungrown, the edge (maduro) has a sweetness to it that the sungrown lacks. They are both damned good cigars in their own right.

I just read an interesting interview of RP and he said in the Edge he uses filler from a country which he will not reveal, and when prompted he lies. He says it is a key reason why the Edge cigars taste so good. And they do, hmmm I wonder which country he refers to?

I was talking to the manager over there and I guess next month Rocky Patel will be there for an event. The B&M is located in Valrico, FL (right outside Tampa). You Florida gorillas may want to mark your calander for October 13. I will post in the herf section once they give me a copy of the mailer.
thanks 4 the info on the date, i might make it out there, i just have 2 c when my tests are

Re: Rocky Patel 1990

I had the chance to attend an event with RP here in KC a few months ago. He was a pleasure to talk to...his whole entourage was class act. He gifted an RP "A" to me that will sit in my humidor for sometime before I break it out. Anyhow, I can't get enough of the Edge's and the SunGrowns...I don't know if it's because of the sticks and how good they are, or because of him being such a class act and talking to me for 45 minutes. Every time I light one of them up, I think about the herf he attended...

Good times...I HIGHLY recommend trying to meet him and his factory managers.

I'm the fatty on the left:

Re: Rocky Patel 1990

I'm definitely going to try either a 90 or a 92 sometime this week - what are the defining flavor characteristics of each (I know the wrapper/binder/filler already)?
