Are the Famous 3000 back??

O, so I went to get the mail, and in the box was the new famous catalog. On the back cover, it boldly proclaims that the famous nic. 3000 are back by popular demand. So I go to the website, only to see its down. Whether its been hacked or otherwise, Im not quite sure, but if its true, and the Famous 3000 is now available again for purchase, this may have made the day for everyone who loves em as much as I do..

Maybe, if they're the same blend and all. Will have to get some and see.

Well, I got the website to come up, and when you go to where the famous nic 3000 is, it still says everything is unavailable... May have to call them.

Re: Are the Famous 3000 back??

Scott, Drob, and everyone who has been waiting for this,

I just got off the phone with Famous and the nice lady said they will be in and ready to ship on Monday. You can put in a back order now. There will be between 500-1200 bundles depending on the vitola. Most importatnly she insisted the blend would be the same as it was. "She says" they begged, pleaded, and cajoled the manufacture to do put these together for them.

order early and often,

Re: Are the Famous 3000 back??

To me, they are THAT good.. for the price, you can't beat em.. I prefer the robustos, and at 35 bucks for a bundle of 20, its hard to beat. They are YUMMY.

Scott (anyone),

What do you think of the chances that the "new" ones are not as good as, or are a slightly different mix than the old ones? Especially given how they supposedly came about I think it might be difficult to reproduce the same cigar at the same price.

Re: Are the Famous 3000 back??

This is a good point Billy.. I don't know if it'll be as good as the first ones, and I see why us cigar smokers would be skeptical about the next batch being as good as the last. These Famous 3000 were supposed to be the "last" of thier kind.. meaning, once they were gone, they would be gone forever, and now, they are back. Go figure.

o

I think I'll take a wait and see approach on these. I want to be certain they are as good before I go off and buy a bunch.

The Robustos were my favorite.

My question, exactly. I still have about 10 from the last batch. I may pull the trigger soon and see.

Little nervous but if I read a few positive reviews, I will definately buy another bundle of torps.

According to the website they are on backorder. I called and was told that they would be in stock by next week. I ordered a bundle today. I hope they are as good as everyone says they are, I have never tried them. We'll see I guess.

Re: Are the Famous 3000 back??

I still have around twenty or twenty five left from my previous orders. I just backordered a box of the robustos. I'll try to remember to post my impressions if and when I get them in. I posted a positive comment while ordering something from them about the Famous 3000, and the owner emailed me back that night. Seems like a standup outfit to me, and they don't charge until they ship. My bet is that they will be the same or very similar, but if not, for less than fourty bucks I'll take the risk.
