I can't stand the wait...

Got the humidor on Monday, did the wipe down with distilled water thing, then put some tupperware containers with distilled water in them. Left it overnight. RH was at 71% when I woke up the next morning. Left them in til I got home from work on Tues, RH was at 75%. Replaced the tupperware bowls with 70% Humidi-pucks Tues night, immediately the RH dropped to 74% and stayed at 74% through til the morning. Got home from work Wed night, RH was at 73%. This morning (Thurs morning) it's at 72%. So sounds like things are right on schedule -- takes about 12 hours to drop an RH point, which sounds like it's mostly humidified and is working on stabilizing.

Time to start purchasing smokes!!

There is a better way.
Buy a box and smoke them while you wait the three or four days or so to season an humi.

This is weird.
About a week ago or so I was thinking of bidding on this same humi as a gift for my dad.
I decided to pass on it and wait.
We could have been in one heck of a bidding piss match.

Hahahha. It's ok -- the guy always has one of these up for auction. Prior to the close of the auction I won, he had exactly one of these units up for bidding. Within 5 minutes of the auction closing, another one appeared. Looks like he just keeps them rolling one at a time to prevent people from only bidding on the lowest-bid item.

I'm sure you can go bid on one of them right now.

Oh, BTW, the front is not glass, it's some sort of plastic. It seems OK, but it's a little "cheap" cause of that (the description claims it's glass). Once it's seasoned properly I'll post a review on how much it actually fits, etc...
